New member - Does this mean I am pregnant?

Hi guys, I'm a new member so apologies if I've posted in the wrong section!

I recently went back on the Levest pill after using condoms for 6 months. This was a disaster! I started taking the pill the day after my last period (15th March) I continued taking it for 5 days but the side effects kicked in and were nasty so I stopped taking it. I bled slightly but not massively.

I was due my next period on 12th April but this came and went and nothing happened. I thought it was because I went on the pill and it messed my hormones up. I started to worry this week because I've noticed that my appetite has changed and although I lost weight my belly has been very bloated the past week or so. it's now 5 1/2 weeks since my last period.

Today, I decided to take a pregnancy test. I have taken many tests before, most of which have been the same test I did today (tesco's own). There is a faint line - I've never had this result before! I'm very confused. Am I pregnant? I did another test and the result was the same. Faint line again!

Help! What does this mean? Have any of you girls had the same result from a Tesco's pregnancy test. I've attached the photo so you can see how faint it is.

Thanks x

That doesn't look very faint to me! I'm saying it's positive, yes... I'd suggest a clear blue digital to confirm it.

A faint line is still a positive - it's detected hcg in your urine. If you repeat the test in a few days the line should be darker. Perhaps the test you're using this time is more sensitive than the others.

Yes. It means you're pregnant and the urine had plenty of water in it, or your pregnant pretty early on. Best give your GP a ring! :)

Yep positive! Are you happy about it? Agree you should get a Clearblue Digital to confirm.

You can't get a false positive with a pregnancy test! Smile

Yes, that definitely is a positive. I appreciate that it sounds like it wasn't a planned thing so I hope things work out for you, whatever you decide to do. x

I wouldn't say that was faint! That's a big fat positive, I second doing a clear blue digital there's no denying it when the word pregnant comes up.
Congratulations if you're happy and it's what you want.

Agree with pp that is not faint, that is a definitive positive!

Thanks guys for your messages.

Went down to the shop hoping to get one of the Clearblue digital tests but they didn't have any tests whatsoever! So it's going to have to wait now til tomorrow.

I'm in shock! Completely unplanned! Feeling quite emotional. Have cried but not sure why!? Part of me is happy, part of me is scared and another part of me is worrying about what my partner is going to say! (We've only been together 3/4 months!)

I will keep you updated.

Thanks x

If it's any consolation I think all of those feelings are totally normal, you get them even when you've been trying for ages and get pregnant! Hope everything goes well for you definitely keep us updated :)

Hi guys
Not sure if I'm posting in the right part as I've only just joined.. So I apologise if in wrong place.
I'm slightly confused with what's going on with my body. Me and my partner had intercourse on 6th April, my period was due 15th April, I came on what I thought was a period on 16th (am normally on for 7 days, heavy for 4!) however this time it was brown/black blood and very light, I was off by Friday 18th. I've been having headaches, very bloated, feeling sick, (being sick on the 7th!!) what feels like period cramps although I'm off, and coming out in prickly spots in my cheeks an chin. I've taken 2 hpt an they have come back negative. I'm confused as to what is going on. Hmm
Can anyone help please??

Hi maccyao if it helps at all, my dh an I were together 3 months, 4 by the time I found out I was pregnant. 10 1/2 yrs later were married with 3 los and nos 4 +5 on the way. The initial panic takes a while to calm down and I took a couple of days to work through the what ifs and what I wanted before I made us sit down to discuss it together. Decisions made in the first daze of panic are not always what either party actually wants. Good luck x
