Hi Guys,
My name is chelly and I currently live in Australia with my hubby and little boy who's almost 2 and our little dog.
We've been out for 4 years now and we have recently found out that I am currently 16 almost 17 weeks pregnant with twins!!
I have had the worst trap wind that has been really painful after every meal - thankfully found a thread on mumsnet so its a relief to find out that im not the only one.

Any advice from mums or dads out there with twins would be great - I know its going to be tough not only as we are expecting twins but because all our family are back in the UK so any and all advice is most definitely welcome.

Chelly x :)

Hi chelly77 Smile Congratulations!
I'm Australian (but living in UK) and a mum to 2 & 1/2 year old DTDs. The first few months were tough, but I had in my mind it was going to be so much worse, so was pleasantly surprised. Anyway, was there anything you wanted to know specifically?

I think I've done the hard graft with having a 2 year old little boy - but I guess everything changes with twins!
I guess I'm after general advice - what should I expect during the first few weeks? What did you find that worked, what dident, what you do again, what would you do differently?

Not knowing anyone with twins I haven't got anyone to offer advice

Well, I wasn't able to BF for medical reasons so am no help there, sorry! But I found that a set feeding routine helped a great deal, though I was lucky in that they tended to wake for feeds around the same time. We slept them together in the same cot which seemed to make them a lot calmer (we tried separating them at first but that didn't go so well). Having 2 bouncers was a massive help too.
