Baby bundler/night gown things

Have read rave reviews of these, especially for the first few weeks of nighttime nappy changes. But can they be used with a sleeping bag? Or could we use a long sleeved vest and a sleeping bag instead of a bundler?

Can't decide whether it's worth bothering - ds would be woken by the nappy change regardless of babygro being unpoppered. Are they as good as people say??

We used them before we used sleeping bags. Initially, DD wasn't heavy enough for a bag so we used a gown and swaddling blanket.

You can use them with baby sleeping bags yes instead of a baby grow, so you can unzip sleeping bag and lift up nightie/bundler and change nappy, you dont even have to tale the sleeping bag off either, tho be careful of them weeing whilst being changed!

We've got 2 and while I thought they were a brill idea we haven't used them much. However dd was a winter baby so I was always worried that if it rode up her legs might get a bit chilly hence not using a lot so if you're having a summer baby that won't be a problem.

They are a lot more convenient than a sleepsuit but like you say there's still the poppers on the vest underneath - if you use one - and the nappy change which will still wake baby.

We used them with sleeping bags yes.

They are the best things ever. We had loads. I was so sleep deprived the first night nappy changes were like some sort of Crystal Maze challenge involving baby gros. We just used them with blankets at the beginning and then went to a sleeping bag.

It's less the waking-the-baby thing, it's more the middle-of-the-night, befuddled parent not getting tangled up in popper hell thing. Love ours. Plus they look sweet, and you have ready access for toe tickling. Yes, you can use them under a sleep bag.

3 kids I have used baby grows and growbags with all of them, from birth.

I think the brand grobags are expensive.
When I was faced with double expense having twins I found much cheaper - I think it was Matalan.

I had not heard of the bundler - but looking at the picture in the link I think it is amazing how babies twist and love their legs up in the air - the think will twist up their bodies?

Ah, i'm with you. I can see the advantage for nighttime changes :)

I never had a problem with them riding up or twisting. I think they are so long (past the feet usually) that kicking legs up didn't affect it.
There was no way I could figure out the poppers in the middle of the night. After a few weeks it got easier as they don't need changing every feed but the first few weeks these were fantastic.

I had a couple of these and they were easily my favourite nightwear when they were tiny - really practical, they don't ride up as they are really long they just looked ridiculously cute on.

I'm definitely getting a couple more for this one - hardly anywhere did them 5 years ago.

My DD liked to sleep and would pull her legs into the tummy bit of the babygrows as a very small baby, she looked more comfy in a bundler

liked to sleep all curled up, that should read

My sons had these 30 years ago! Only, the bottom had a piece of ribbon which I pulled close, I loved them. Never had any problems - apart from not enough of them. I cried when they grew out of them. Glad to see them make a comeback
