Small sac at 7 weeks

I just had my first scan for my 2nd pregnancy, and the doc says the sac looks a bit small. I am a bit upset as had some issues with dc1, not enough amniotic fluid in my final trimester and the placenta was small...years later we discover dc1 has a life-limiting illness which we hv battled for many years...

I felt like crying then n there but the doctor said not to worry and they would monitor it...I also have a small blood clot in the uterus but he said it is because i had some bleeding in the first couple of weeks...please reassure me that i am being silly for being so upset..am feeling very sad and emotional....i also had severe pnd the last time so am trying hard to avoid that...Sad

Sorry to hear about the scan. So hard not to worry when they tell you things like that, even if they tell you not to worry! Hope all goes well at the next scan. I had blood in the uterus too, doctor said for the same reason as you. I was advised to avoid as much heavy lifting as possible, no exercise, not too much walking long distances. I read everything on google and panicked, thinking that was it. But no, 4 weeks later, it's gone - apparently they're quite common and usually get reabsorbed. Baby is healthy and kicking away in there.

Thnks porcito...so relieved...I feel bit better now. He told me not to do exercise, flying and intercourse for the first 12 weeks...dh is not impressed.

I really hope the baby will be ok..i am not sure if i can deal with another child with a serious illness...
