What are your early 1st Trimester side-effects?
(5 Posts)Argh, feeling rubbish today - sooo tired, irritable, got horrible taste in my mouth and a white tongue blurgh!!
No sickness just a bit of nausea and headaches!
Anyone suffering or got any good suggestions on how to combat this horrible taste in my mouth!???
I am just exhausted, oh and I have dry lips.
Oh that taste - by far my least fav symptom.
The nausea was less annoying.
So nothing I tried got rid but chewing gum helped A LOT.
Food and washing teeth only lasted minutes, but at least the chewing gum would last a while (also Listerine Zero did dull it for a while- kept some in my desk drawer)
Also drinks like peppermint/flavoured tea/ flavoured water/ soda and lime/ squash help while ur drinking and get the fluids into you ( I found plain water very unappetising when I had the taste thing even though its what I normally drink and u need to keep ur fluids up)
unfortunately the taste thing does last a while (well it did for me till about 18-20 wks) but it does reduce and then go
Good luck
(ps hitting someone who suggests ginger with a big stick helps with the irritability and if u are feeling rubbish have what u fancy, even if it is chip shop chips - those 1st tri days don't last long and it DOES get better)
I feel so sick and tired. Went out for lunch today and feel bloated and stuffed and sick. I think I'd rather be sick than feel it constantly.
I've not been this tired in pregnancy before, might be something to do with my 2 non sleeping dc and uni work though.
eugh! just gave into chip shop chips! still getting horrible taste and nausea! with DD1 I felt sick if I didn't eat - this time I feel sick about 30 mins after eating!!
