How exciting!!!!

Just wanted to post good luck!

I had a EMCS nearly 6 years ago and what surprised me was how quickly I recovered. The first 24 hours was awful. The next 48 hours was bad, but after that I was pretty much fine. (But still take care if that happens to you too)

How exciting Grin don't over do things when you get home, relax and enjoy your baby and let people fuss over you! Good luck

Take peppermint tea for the wind. And wear big belly warming pants :)

Good luck! I had a elective 2 weeks ago and I have to say I feel generally fab, much more positive experience that my previous emergency section.

One word of caution though, I did have a slightly hairy day or so post op when my insides didn't recover quite as quick as the rest of me so if you get break through pain in the abdomen area don't be afraid to highlight it. However I have recovered much quicker this time and you probably couldn't tell I'd had a section two weeks ago other than the bags under my eyes!!
