How exciting!!!!

Just wanted to post good luck!

I had a EMCS nearly 6 years ago and what surprised me was how quickly I recovered. The first 24 hours was awful. The next 48 hours was bad, but after that I was pretty much fine. (But still take care if that happens to you too)

How exciting grin don't over do things when you get home, relax and enjoy your baby and let people fuss over you! Good luck

Good luck! I had a elective 2 weeks ago and I have to say I feel generally fab, much more positive experience that my previous emergency section.

One word of caution though, I did have a slightly hairy day or so post op when my insides didn't recover quite as quick as the rest of me so if you get break through pain in the abdomen area don't be afraid to highlight it. However I have recovered much quicker this time and you probably couldn't tell I'd had a section two weeks ago other than the bags under my eyes!!

Thanks for the good luck messages ladies, and i cant tell you how relieved it makes me feel to hear your positive stories! Have been dreading recovery with having two dc at home already.
Ile be sure to send dp for peppermint tea tomorrow avo and also to keep on top with pain relief, and i already have some very fetching full briefs packed in my bag :-).
I still cant quite believe its happening!
