Hi All

I am currently 23 weeks and have started talking RRL tablets. I tried the tea but sadly baby isn't too fond and it came straight back up again everytime I've drank it.

I've been having some tummy cramps since taking the tablets, and online has very conflicting information. Some webistes are saying from the second trimester is fine to take them, others are saying to wait until 34 weeks.

Can anyone shed some light?

Not sure it will make a difference, but the tablets are from Holland & Barrett.

I didn't think you were supposed to take them until 35+ weeks.

The tea also gave me cramps but I'm convinced it worked 10 pound ds was born in 2 pushes!

I would leave them alone this early because I'm v cautious and can't see a good reason to take them at this point. I only took the tea at the bitter end.

Agree with pp's - too early to be taking them. I'm 37 weeks and only started now.

Thanks, I'll wait till I hit the 35 week mark.

Like I said, google wasn't much help as I found people who said they'd taken the tablets around now so they get into your system, others who said to wait until 37 weeks etc.

I'm just coming up for 39 weeks- have had the tea occasionally for a few weeks and about to get capsules today. I would guess you've started it too early- my midwife recommended waiting til 38 weeks :-)

My midwife said they did studies in Australia and the MW there recommend from 34 weeks onwards. They don't recommended it here yet because they haven't done such studies. Xx

yep defo wait! you're far too early to be taking them, my mw didn't like me taking them at 34 weeks and said for me to wait until 36 at the earliest
