Hi

I've just turned the 12 week mark and during my pregnancy I've been getting some fairly horrendous headaches, like I've been whacked around the back of the head very hard....is this normal or something I need to get checked out?

I'm having the same issue. I very rarely got headaches before pg. now I get loads. Googling suggests it's normal. It can be a sign of high blood pressure but mine has been normal when checked at mw appts.

Please get your blood pressure checked asap. That is the one thing that should be made much more widely known - headaches need checking out. All may be well, but you won't know unless you check.
How is your eyesight?
Any visual disturbances like blurred vision or "spots"?

My blood pressure has been fine so far 124/71 on Saturday. I'm typically a 120/80 or thereabouts. It seems to happen the day after exercise or the day after drinking fruit juice (only one or two glasses not bucketloads) although both may be a coincidence and nothing to do with it.

3littlefrogs no visual disturbances / spots etc. and the headache always comes on overnight and eases without pain relief in the day.... The way I'm sleeping maybe??
