Just that really. I'm just entering the third trimester. I love reading and going to have a bit of time on my hands over the next few months (also aware sitting down to read a good book is something I won't have the time for for a while once baby has arrived!). Anyone got any recommendations. Don't particularly need to be pregnancy/baby related just something that suits the mood of the 3rd tri somehow (if that makes sense).
I'd love to hear your recommendations /emo/te/1.gif

I read all the Call the Midwife books. I learnt more about giving birth from them than I did on my NCT course and I'm not joking!

There was a really good thread in chat recently about people picking their best book ever. I of course can't find it now but if I do will send it through.

I went for anything Jane Austen in the end but love things like Philip Pullman and Birdsong-type stuff too. I'm very into fantasy books so won't bore you with those.

Or for a cheeky read you can't beat a good Jackie Collins or Jilly Cooper!

I've been reading James Grey's (the wildlife cameraman) Snarl For The Camera and I thought it was excellent. Not a novel, but a really interesting read about the amazing things across the world that he got to witness, it's very upbeat and easy to read too (and hilarious in parts). Of course, probably not very interesting if you don't like wildlife or natural history Smile

I've just started life after life by Kate Atkinson (one of my fave authors) and I'm really enjoying it. Have also read the little coffee shop of Kabul which was quite good, the night circus and a couple of Lisa Jewell's which I enjoyed - her recent releases, can't remember the names sorry but they're a bit deeper than her first books.

For good old chick lit I love Jenny Coogan's sweet shop and bakery books, again I can't remember the titles but they're lovely (and all about food Grin ) happy reading!

Im not that far along in my pregnancy but love to read. Just finished Orange is the new Black. The call the midwife books are amazing agree. There's also a book by Constance Brisco called Ugly. It brought me to tears but is so wonderfly written, I couldn't put it down.
