Anyone in the first trimester?

MyNameIsKenAdams · 26/02/2014 21:08

Im due late October so the October ante-natal board is well developed and moves way way too fast Grin

Anyone not on there who fancies a general chatter about the ups and downs of the first tri?

Im 5.3wks, found out just over a week ago, and this is dc2. I had a MMC last August, so am keeping quiet as long as possible about this all.

Current symptoms and state of play is tired, bloated and bloody starving. Could have had two plates of my dinner this evening.

So hi Grin

Haha little bit Sanoie though I am obsessed with The Big Bang Theory so if I ever need to name change im picking something from that.

Gosh and ectopic too, that must have been really scary!

Are you planning on going for earlier scans with this pregnancy? Im debating it.

Last time round I had boob pain but none this time, however (tmi) I have nipples like rocks. Permanently. Its getting silly.

Ive already had a couple of blood tests which came back positive and showed the hgc levels rising as they should. Scan on friday. I cant wait. I cant get excited yet.

Different boob symptoms might mean different gender....

Never seen bbt but heard its ace :0)

Hiya! I'm 5w1d, due Oct 28th with my first pregnancy. Like you we haven't told anyone. I'm anxious about a very bad pain episode I had on Monday night, but other than that things are pretty good.

I had the most painfully erect nipples in the first week, then just generally painful boobs. This has eased a little now. Tummy is very bloated and doing some pretty impressive farts!

I love the fact that I might be having a baby in 8 months, never believed I'd get pregnant so quickly! But hate the waiting game.... Roll on 12 weeks!!

Hope you all have happy pregnancies and lovely autumn babies :)

Give it a try, I loved a good box set when I was on Maternity Leave - might try How I Met Your Mother this time round. And I hope it is all good at the scan.

Hi inmybelly perfect name! Barmy isnt it....by the end of this year we will have two month olds Grin

Im another one who fell for want of a better word quickly. Its a surprise but in a lovely way.

Im off on a hen weekend on friday so a friend has been informed so she can keep me in "gin and tonics" aka sparkling water with a wedge of lime.

Does anyone else's skeleton hurt? I ache everywhere. If I sit a bit funny I struggle to walk properly afterwards.

Hi all, I'm 5+5 today! This is my first so feeling really anxious and trying not to get excited yet. We're keeping it secret for now apart from my parents, who we share a house with. At the moment I have really tender boobs (which wake me up when I turn over at night!), constant hunger and thirst, am short of breath, hot, dizzy and have nausea which seems to strike at about 3.30am, so naturally feeling quite tired too! Would love a bit of support on here, especially since I can't tell my friends yet...

Welcome! Sleep is a bloody bugger isnt it - I seem to just wake randomly though the night and am then too hot, thirsty, or uncmfy to get back to sleep for ages.

Ooh it will be lovely to have three sets of hands arpubd throughout the pregnancy and after the birth!

Hey! October due date here too! Our first and we are excited. I was bemoaning the lack of symptoms then they hit at 7 weeks (nausea, extreme tiredness, grumpiness with DP). Now 9 weeks and I'm afraid, we've told quite a few of our friends; they've all been desperate for us to have a child. Have told DP's parents - have yet to tell mine. Loooooonnnng story there

Anyone having weird, vivid dreams too? Having erotic dreams here and Barack Obama popped over for dinner yesterday(you know, in the dream, not for real)

inmybelly · 27/02/2014 10:14

Really bizarre erotic dreams!! One in particular I was almost too embarrassed to tell my BF about... He thought it was hilarious/disturbing!

And yeah, waking up at 3am every night from the very beginning. I wondered if this was the boobs (I'm a tummy sleeper) or just generally unable to switch my brain off! Sounds like it might be quite common though since we're all feeling restless.

I had a really bad pain episode after intercourse on Monday night, no bleeding and no pain since, have been quite concerned ever since, but it's being investigated thankfully.

I've not had any fatigue or nausea yet, hoping that's pretty normal at 5w2d... But who knows? If anything I'm feeling less pregnant than I did last week.

It's so easy to over analyse every symptom (or lack of symptoms)... Aargh!

NowLivingAbroad · 27/02/2014 10:26

I have only told DP I have erotic dreams but I have not told him the content - I'm puzzled at the content myself. Oh yes, waking up at 3am then going to bed at 6am - i work from home but still.

Oh lack of symptoms is normal at that stage - I remembered praying for symptoms - well they hit so they are on their way, don't you worry too much, Immybelly

Inmybelly, I'm so glad to read your last post. I'm 7 weeks 5d and have no symptoms except for hip pain. No tiredness, nausea, hunger, nadda. I've had an early scan so I've seen the baby and its little heartbeat. I feel left out!

It seems to vary so much doesn't it bumpNgrind? From woman to woman and even the same woman gets completely different symptoms with each pregnancy!! I'm coming to realise that analysing symptoms is a pretty unreliable and stressful way of judging how well the pregnancy is progressing.

Having said that, because most of my friends miscarried at 6 weeks, I will definitely breathe a sigh of relief if/when I get to your stage at nearly 8 weeks. I know that's slightly irrational but there we go! Thinking about it, being irrational seems to be my major symptom at the moment!!

I've also developed an obsession with not jinxing the pregnancy ie we very nearly went into mothercare the other day but decided against it 'just in case' ... As if it would really make any difference at all!!

inmybelly · 27/02/2014 10:46

Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, I met a woman a few weeks ago who didn't realise she was pregnant until 5 months gone!!!

I'm due oct 4th, dc2. Currently looking forward to the end of wk 8, lost a baby at 9.5 wks last time so really looking forward to that milestone passing and the end of the awful 1st trimester. Nausea kicked in at 5 wks and tiredness, worse than with dc1.

I just found out yesterday and I'm due the 28th of October. We had been trying for almost a year and had lied extended the truth on how long we had been trying so we could get NHS help as I'm pushing on a bit (35 next month)!!

Did a test on Tuesday when my period was well late, negative and I was gutted. The Nurse at the fertility clinic did another during our initial consultation with the DH and it was positive!! Made hers and our day :)

On symptoms note, can't sleep through the night, massive boobs which are achy and heavy as boulders and farting for England!!

Welcome new arrivals!

Anyone else squeezing in naps when they can? Ive sent dd for a snooze and am going to have one myself.

Im also conducting a little experiment - last pregnancy, my hair stopped growing - head, leg, underarm, even eyebrows. No idea why. I have very long hair which needs a cut so am booked in this afternoon for a bob. Wonder if it will grow this pregnancy? Be nice if it could stay short, save me a fortune on hair dressers appts.

Hello - we've just confirmed this morning that I am pregnant!!! This is our first baby and we've been trying for nearly a year - I feel horrible and would like to cut my boobs off but am comforted by the fact that my body has gone into overdrive already!!! Apparently I am 4 weeks now and VERY EXCITED!!!!!

I'm also due in mid October! Yay for autumn! I'm 6wk5days, and in the last day or so, my symptoms seem to have disappeared, which has me worried! My symptoms were sore boobs and loss of appetite. But I feel hungry today, and my boobs don't seem as sore. I've had maybe a very slight case of nausea a few times, but that's it. Starting to worry I'm no longer pregnant, even though I've not had any bleeding. As much as absolutely dread vomiting, I wouldn't mind a session or 2 of it so I know I'm still progressing!

In my first tri i had awful sickness! Only just managed to stay out os hospital with it, i was tired all the time could barely eat let alone drink! my boobs hurt so much more than last time(miscarried last year) and i had terrible headaches. I was releived when it dissapered at 13 weeks, but now i can hardly eat as im put off by everything except beef and noodles. The thought of everything makes me wanna be sick. Im now 20 weeks and have felt lil man wriggle since i was 12, its been amazing feeling his kicks get stronger every week :) we are still overwhelmed by the fact this is actually happening for us as weve wanted a baby for so long, and we have got a lil boy like we always wanted.

Hello! I am sort of on the September thread but due 27 Sept so it was already 1000s of pages long when I said hi...

I am 9+5 and, I think, just beginning to get a bit better from the endless nausea I've had since 5 weeks.

I work shifts and have a 17 month old so am pretty tired!!

I still feel a bit in no-man's land until I get a scan. I am shattered and sick but obviously look just the same so no one is cutting me any slack. Also I feel like I have no idea if there really is a baby in there. Can't wait to be properly pregnant. The first bit is so tough!

I got pregnant in less than a month after having my coil out... was pretty chuffed as was expecting it to take a bit longer. My first baby took 4 months to conceive. Now the new one is due practically on her birthday! Exciting times.

Have you all told the doctors yet? I need to ring and let them know, really, so I can get a booking in appointment but it still feels so early.

I'm 6+6 due October 18. Only been ttc with dh for 2 months. My cycle took ages to return to normal after being on the depo injection, so very surprised that I fell so quickly. This is our first and I feel really good. Boobs are like land mines tho. Come too close and I'll explode with rage!!! Get really nauseas when I'm tired but I only work in the mornings so can be curled up in bed by 12.

Congratulations to all you lovely ladies ^^

Another one here! I am due October 29th with DC2. Tiredness has hit me this week all of a sudden. Why does the first scan seem like such a long way off? Just got my booking in appointment through for April 1st which seems a mile off as well! Hoping the time flies... Anyone planning on not finding out what they're having?
