I had a internal at 5.5 weeks and could see a blob with a heart beat :-)

At 7 weeks I could see two blobs with heartbeats. It may well be trans vaginal, just so you're prepared.

I had a vaginal ultra sound at just over 5 weeks, also because of bleeding, and nothing conclusive could be seen. I had to go back at 7 weeks - at which point the heartbeat was there, and all was well for the rest of the pregnancy.

I had normal abdominal scan at 6 + 4 with ds1 and saw heartbeat.

At 5 weeks 4 days, they could see 2 sacs but couldnt tell me anything more. At 7 weeks 4 days, they could see the heartbeats.

I think 6 weeks is generally when the heart beat becomes visible.

Good luck!

You count your pregnancy from your last period, which I know sounds ridiculous as you're adding two weeks before you even DTD, but could that be why your MW has a different number?

5 + 5, transvaginal, blob with a heartbeat. Good luck for your scan thanks

Agree with anything, the 7 weeks is assuming you spent the first 2 weeks not pregnant so although it looks wildly different, it's probably only a few days difference. I was told that my EPU would scan after 6 weeks, which it looks like you are (or roughly 6+5)

I had scans at 4+4 and 5+6 because of bleeding. At 4+4, you could see the yolk sac and at 5+6 we saw a heartbeat. Those were internal/ trans vaginal scans. Early spotting is pretty common. Very best of luck.

At 5 weeks you will probably see the gestational sac only. I went to my first ultrasound at 5 weeks+6 days and they saw the embryo 2,8 mm and the flickering heartbeat, but I realise I was VERY lucky. I wish you luck! Everything is going to be fine. I had spotting at 5-6 weeks but it happened to be not from vagina, sorry for TMI.

I had one at 7 weeks (ish) and I had what looked like a jelly bean in my tummy!

Hi I'm new to all this but would appreciate all your thoughts and advice. My doctors says I'm over 6 weeks pregnant as they date it from your last period which is impossible in my eyes but anyway I went for a scan yesterday and they could only see a very small sac nothing else so said it looks like I'm only 4-5 weeks!! So confusing!! Now there doing blood tests to see if my hcg levels are rising! Has anybody else gone through this? It's so worrying as this is a planned pregnancy and my first. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear any advise you can give.
Thank you
X

I had a scan at 4 weeks that showed nothing except thickened uterus lining. Went back at 6+3 and there was a tiny bean with a flickering heartbeat. Said tiny bean is currently asleep in his Moses basket as I type this smile
