Hi everyone, had a scan yesterday the anomaly one, was 20.6 weeks and femur length was measuring 38.8!! All other measurements were fine for dates, although weight estimated at 1lb already??! Is this normal anyone else had the same?

Both mine had long femur length at the 20 week scan. But I have very long legs! I would say they still have long legs now.

Are you very tall yourself? I do think measurements are not very precise at a scan!

Hi ya, I'm about 5.7 my husband is 6.5 and although our 7 year old is tall she wasn't quite this long at such a stage in pregnancy and don't remember her being this weight already lol

We had a short femur length, which was a bit of an issue because we'd had other markers for genetic problems. Standing with the (trainee sonographer) waiting for a review with the supervisor, trainee, trying to be reassuring I guess, said, well, perhaps she's just short. Are you short? Well, we're both standing next to you, what do you think??! No reassurance for you, sorry, but still makes me laugh.
