I just wondered what sort of things, if any, you mums to be are doing so you can look back later and remember being pregnant, ie bump photos each week/month or plaster cast of bump and boobs etc. are you keeping a diary? Or are you just getting on with it and will look back and always remember things etc. anyone been pregnant and wish they did something whilst pregnant for example?

I took quite a lot of photos of my bump at various times and when I was overdue and grumpy I assembled it into a little slideshow! Lots of people say they wish they had taken more pictures, it is kinda fascinating.

I got a brilliant baby record book from Mothercare. It's like a story stage by stage of your baby's life until they reach 12 months. We've been filling that up with lots of stuff, photos, scans, little notes, memorable dates etc

I kept a diary when pg with dc1 & also put my weight at the end of every entry (probably every week to 10 days) it's been interesting to see how much weight I'm piling on with dc2, and how I was feeling back then. I occasionally took bump photos, as I am doing every now & again.

Definitely not going to do the plaster cast!

I wish I'd took more photos of me being pregnant and also photos with dc1 as a newborn as I shyed away from it & really regretted having hardly any photos of us together back then, I will make up for it this time round!

With dc1 i didnt do anything and assumed i would remember it. I dont remember anything! I have no pictures of me and my bump. I dont know when i felt the first kicks or how i was feeling at each stage and it makes me a little sad.

This time i have taken weekly bump shots and written in a diary (daily at the start and now more like weekly) i dont know if i ever intend on showing them to anyone but I'm glad i have them for me to remember.

I did weekly photos in the same place with both my DC. It has been great to compare bump shape & size throughout my second pregnancy. I had professional bump photos done for DS but didnt have time or energy to do that with DD so had professional newborn photos with her (& DS decided he wanted to be in a few of them).

I also had footcasts done of both of them as newborns for the grandparents.

Now pregnant with DC2 and have kept a diary. I did the same with DC1 and it's been lovely to look back on.
Took lots of bump photos when pregnant with DC1 but haven't actually taken any of DC2 bump yet as we had a lot of problems early in pregnancy and thought we might lose her. Now I'm 22 weeks, had scan and everything is fine I now feel able to finally believe it and actually thought I might get DH to take a bump photo of me today Smile
A friend of a friend had a bump cast done but didn't actually know what to do with it once they had it so it's in a box in their spare room! Nice to have though I guess but what do you do with it!
