Mama Spanx

I have a wedding to attend when I will be 37 weeks pregnant. Eep.

I fancy getting some Mama Spanx to smooth my hips and provide some extra bump support. Should I go for the tights or the giant pants? Thanks if you have any advice/experience to share!

Personally I'd avoid Spanx when pregnant as even at normal times they're a bastard to get off when you need to pee! And you have to pee a lot at 37 weeks! There's an open crotch in the giant pants in the regular Spanx but personally the idea of peeing without taking my tights off strikes me as a bit gross.

Not helpful at all, but I think Mama Spanx sounds like the name of a dominatrix!

I have the mamma spanx tights which are lovely and supportive around my bump but the seam on the inside of the leg/gusset a bit 'chaffy' but I do have quite chunky thighs which rub together at the top! Its always a big relief to take them off!

I had the long short mama spanx and they didn't really smooth my lumps and bumps really. They were loose enough though obviously meant to me loose on bump, I needed holding in at hips.

I have the tights and they are very good. I got a size bigger and they were great, shaped my thighs and hips and held my bump nicely without being too tight.

I went tights cos I couldn't face control pants and tights over my bump!!

I had the mid thigh ones (also for a wedding) and they were great. Bit difficult to get on and off but they smoothed everything out a treat!

I find just ordinary maternity tights are fine for smoothing, not sure how much more spanx can do to make them worth the extra money at 37 weeks!

kitkat, I know, me too! Thanks all. Think I'll wait for now and see how I'm looking closer to the day.

Will try the h&m ones first, thanks tomkat!
