Rectal pressure at 35 wks…..
(13 Posts)Just that really..been feeling like baby's head is a bowling ball pressing against my back passage, like when you need to push. I'm having lots of twinges in my cervix & SPD/pelvic pain. Lots of it to do with carrying my 2 stone 21mth old I'm sure! This my 4th baby & just wandering if this means something is imminent or all just part of the lovely process :-/
Don't remember having these symptoms so early on before. One of my DDs came 10 days early, the others were 1 day & 5 days late.
Could it be that the baby is lying back to back? In which case you might be able to shift him to a better position by getting on all fours or crawling around etc. have a look at the Spinning Babies website.
Hmmm…he had been transverse up until 3wks ago when a scan showed he was cephalic. Saw MW last week & she thought his lie was v odd & was surprised to feel he was head down. Said my bump was an odd shape & he protested & kicked at the Sonicaid where she didn't expect to feel limbs!!!! So she wrote 'cephalic' for presentation lie in my notes, but told me a v compact breech could feel as though it was cephalic. Never thought to ask if he was possibly btb….none of my previous ddd have been, but then none of them were transverse either!!
Baby arrived at 04.25!! This morning . V sudden & bloody start to labour, by ambulance to hospital & he was born 4 hours later. 5lbs10oz .....having a little trouble feeding & maintaining BMS but otherwise great!
Ps he was back to back Cariad

Wow, congratulations!! Not the ending you'd expect to a thread like this <paranoia as similar gestation and similar feelings at times> but very glad all worked out fine!!
I was just about to post a thread on this! Since last night I've been feeling pressure since last night and also the twinges I'm only 32 weeks so this had now got me worried!
Congratulations! That's a great weight, I've had 3 35 weekers, 4.9, 5.0 and 5.4
