Hi everyone

How accurate is the conception date on the due date calculator?

Thank you.

Depends when you ovulate, it's based on an average woman's ovulation time.

my LMP due date was 01/07, went for scan and they put it back to 17/07 so it really does depend on how regular your periods are and when you ovulate. I was on the implant for just under 3 years and then went straight on to the pill and still managed to concieve so i didnt even have a period!
Congratulations if you are expecting smile

Thank you for your replies.

My cycle is 30 days, so can I assume that it is accurate?

Depends... If you ovulate earlier or later than average then no, I think it's based on 28 day cycle so you will be a day or 2 out even if you ovulate on an average cycle. Is there a reason it matters so specifically?

I was just curious smile

The MN due date calculator allows you to input your cycle length, whereas others are based on an assumed 28 day cycle...

The typical luteal phase (from ovulation to next period) is 14 days, but not everyone's is that length. I only found out from using ovulation sticks that mine is only 10 days for example, so if you weren't tracking your ovulation dates then there's no guarantee its accurate. Hope that helps!

I relied on it but it didn't work. Then just dtd everyday for the fortnight. I think you need to work back 14 days from your next period. Hth
