Hi
I have been loosing my mucus plug over the last few days. This is my second baby so I'm sure that it what it is. (Too big and thick to be usual discharge) do I need to do anything. I understand it can regenerate and probably shouldn't worry. Has anyone else been in the same situation? If so did you give birth early or hang on?

Worth a call to maternity unit tonight to get checked out? Try might give you steroid shots just in case LO does make an early appearance.

Thanks. I have rang the maternity unit and they want me just to monitor it and ring if I get bleeding or cramps so that seems reassuring. Thanks for the advice.

I lost my plug at 30 weeks. It was clearish and like a long, thick line of goo.

I rang the hospital and was told it was too early for that and not to worry unless there was blood.

Saw my midwife at 34 weeks appt and she said it's normal and it regenerates.

I'm now 36 weeks and no signs of anything happening. If you're concerned, ring or txt your MW and ask her what she advises.

All the best.
