Hi all again. I posted this morning about having a bit of a bloody show, (I'm 38+3) and since then, and rather a hectic day later, I have lost my mucus plug.. Does this mean labour is around the corner??? I do hope so!

(I do not want any tales of mucus plugs being lost and then having to be induced at 42 weeks Grin)

I lost my plug (it was clear though) around lunchtime on a Monday and by 10:50am on the Tuesday I had given birth. Is that the sort of story you want Smile

I do not think you are. Some people take ages after they lose it, others don't. I remember feeling sore like you describe in the afternoon before I gave birth.

Oh good, I'm in the mood for a live birth thread. Grin

Any twinges, back ache? A nice walk set mine off both times.

Oooh it's good to hear!! Even the few days! It's the weeks that I'm not all for!

I am what I can only describe as a bit achey.. The braxton hicks have settled again now though! Envy
I'm also aware of my lower back if that makes sense?

I think I'm just making it all up in my headGrin

Lost mine at 4.30am. Active labour started at midday. Ds was born at 6.08pm. I was 37.5 weeks, so it was a bit of a surprise, but yes, sometimes first babies come early ( and please no tales of how first was early but second two weeks late).

Mine went 8pm, waters went 10pm, contractions started around midnight & he was here 6am Smile I was 38 weeks (38+1 when he came) and told by my midwife that morning there was no chance of him coming that week.

Phone the hospital/your midwife, try to get some sleep. You are going to meet your baby soon Grin

When my waters broke I phoned labour ward. They told me to go in. They checked me over, I wasn't having contractions yet. They gave me some paper thermometers to keep an eye on my temp and said to cone back when contractions were 3-4 mins apart.

Good luck. V exciting.
