What did you cry at?

I just cried at Paul Hollywood making scotch pies and how lovely Scotland looked on the show. Howled. Had to call DH at work who tries so hard to stay cheerful and not laugh at me no matter how ridiculous I am being.

I am a waterworks at everything today. And yesterday. All week really. 19+4 today so far and this is definitely the worst it has been. Granted we have a few life issues but things aren't really that bad. I'm just so irrational.

Have 20 week scan on Friday and terrified that it will all be Pete Tong despite seeing consultant on Friday last week and the baby was swimming away. Cried because I thought the bump had shrunk last night.

How much longer will this last for? Can I make it stop somehow? How did you all cope and am I just being ridiculous?

You're not being ridiculous, it's quite normal to be teary when pregnant.
You'll be able to look back and laugh at these moments

I cried over a car park space when pregnant with DS. Blush

floods of tears re-reading 'One Day' when pregnant!

A shorter list might be 'things I've not cried at'!

Norbert I've done that too! And ch1134 I daren't pick up a book. Potential for weeping lurks on every page.

I did nearly thump DH the other day who texted me the lines from that song about being over emotional thinking it would make me laugh. How wrong he was.

Thank you both :)

Yy high love. 38+5 here and amount of general lump in throat I have on a daily basis is ridiculous.

I also have short fuse.

Favourite silly things to cry at this pregnancy include 'live aid' lyrics ("tonight thank god it's them instead of you") and the end of the snowman (which I already knew)!

Cry at everything!! 31 weeks and turned in to a wreck!! Said to husband last night I think there's something wrong with me- never cried so much ever !!! I'm sure it's the hormones and general excitement/overwhelmingness of everything!!

Oh everything makes me cry! My DS came in from school with DH and said "how is the baby" whist patting my tummy affectionately, I has to to to the bathroom for a happy cry!!
Had a lot of bleeding early on and howled and cried with relief when we saw healthy baby on scan, cry every time I hear heartbeat at midwife appointment. I'm not usually like this!!

putting tights on. when my DD sang (or tried) to sing twinkle twinkle little star. when I realised I don't like any girls names. when some stupid bastard parked ridiculously close to passenger side of car (side of DD car seat). when I got out of breath walking up the stairs. the list is flipping endless. this morning welled up in car when I heard 6 horses had caused an accident on the motorway. poor horses.

When I was pregnant with ds1 we lived by a river and had lots of resident ducks. One of the ducks had loads of ducklings (8 I think) and the next day there were only 3. When it dawned on me that the local fox had almost certainly had the ducklings I was in bits. Cried so much dh came home early. Blush

There's a weightloss show that i watch called Operation Transformation (like biggest loser)- i cry when they lose weight at the weigh in.

Maybe it's because as they are getting thinner, i'm getting fatter!

I got hysterical over a little old lady on the one show because she was so nice. Couldn't finish my dinner I was sobbing so much.

Also had full on toddler tantrum complete with feet-stomping and crying when DH hid a tin of Celebrations from me. He'd put them in the loft knowing full well that at 35 weeks I couldn't get through the hatch to get them. He soon learnt never to hide chocolate from a pregnant woman again.

The donkey sanctuary adverts.
It was punishment for watching so much daytime TV.
I don't even really like donkeys.

I didn't cry much but at about 8 weeks I cried because a woman on a film I was watching got to have a 12 week scan and I had to wait another 4 weeks :(

I'm much worse now DS is here - at the weekend I welled up listening to "Can you feel the love tonight" from the Lion king - it was the line about the universe in perfect harmony and thinking about the night DS was born. I don't remember feeling in perfect harmony at the time, I can tell you Grin

Scrubs. The bit where Turk goes to tell Carla that he's diabetic, and she tells him she already knows and has been doing things for weeks...

I've never been the same since.

In one day, the other day:

That Amy Winehouse is dead (it is sad, but I was never a massive fan)
That the kitchen tap was dripping.
Band Aid song, along with the Chris De Burgh Christmas spaceman song.
The Archers.

Everything, really. 3rd pregnancy, never cried at all with first two!
