Pregnancy

Hey, I'm new and all over the place!

So, this is a bit if a pointless moan I suppose but hoping someone out there is listening and can reassure me or at least humour me!
I am 36 years old and 8+2 with my 5th pregnancy but I only have one DS who is almost 8. Our roll call is 1 x MM, 1 x MC, 1 DS, 1 ectopic and then this one.
Since being pregnant this time (which took us 7 years to pluck up the courage to do and with only one Fallopian tube we weren't really expecting) I have had almost constant stomach cramps. I was admitted to EPU at 5 weeks with a suspected ectopic and I had a scan at 5+4 and saw a very healthy heartbeat (which made me wail like a banshee! Poor scanning woman!) but they also found 2 large cysts on my left ovary which I was told were nothing to worry about. Generally, they're giving me lots of pain and now the low stomach ache has returned accompanied with brown discharge when I wipe (TMI) which I had a couple of weeks ago, it stopped and now it's back. I have sore boobs on and off But sickness isn't as bad the past couple of days. I'm just tired and drained with feeling so anxious. I have a scan this week, I just feel done in with it all. I've convinced myself its all gone wrong again. Waaaaaa! X

Didn't want to post and run! (or sleep in this case) Of course you're anxious with a history like that...
I had a lot of dark spotting with my third pregnancy that resulted ultimately in Dd2 - so much so that I thought I was having periods for the first 3 months.

What day is your scan? Can you speak to a MW or the scan person about your anxieties? Better out than in, as they say.

Gosh I would feel the same in your situation.
have you ever been tested for the cause of miscarriages?
take courage in the scan. could the bleeding be from the cysts. ( I know they are fairly common and shouldn't cause harm)
I really hope the pregnancy progresses for you. it must be very trying emotionally. just try and take it as easy as possible at the moment.

Thankyou Smile. Had a day where I wanted to cry / punch DH in the face all day and the pain had turned to definite niggly / pulley type pains so have had a reasonable day worry wise. Have low stomach ache again now but I also have a bowel problem and the pregnancy constipation isn't helping that so the pain could be that. It's all in the same area so who knows! Am just very up and down. Have 'felt' pregnant today if that makes sense. Let's just hope its all good at the scan and I may be able to take the anxiety down a level x

if its any consolation, I had a couple of weeks of period like pain around this time. ( I'm sure I wrote a thread on it somewhere) also lower back pain. I was worried but itp disappeared after a couple of weeks and ended up having an easy pregnancy.

I can honestly say hand over heart I have never had morning sickness with all 3 pregnancies so don't rely on that either.

maybe you could try punch the wall instead of Dh though?!! Grin
