does anyone know where I can get a cheap nappy bag from?

Currently 35 weeks PG with DC2 and my old nappy bag was thrown out after 2 years of use with DC1. I've had a bit of a look in mothercare/john Lewis etc but as DD1 is now 3yr she only give me about 3 seconds to look before she runs off so i don't have much time of consider then - other than to think they are bloody expensive for a bag! Last time I just bought a dunlop satchel which worked fine but I just don't have the time to wander round the shop looking for something appropriate this time.

Has anyone found a cheap nappy bag (or similar)? £80 just seems ridiculous for something that is going to dumped on the floor of a public toilet!

I think Boots give a free one when you sign up to the baby club or something...worth looking into anyway.

Yep Boots - join the baby club, you get a free one on purchase of a small pack of pampers.

I've just looked and I'm not sure if Boots still offer this.

I had a Next one which was great. They don't do the style I had, but a few to choose from here -£25 Next Bags

They're still doing it at boots...I got mine last week Grin. And my coupon was valid until New Year's Eve so I think it should be running for a bit probably just as matter of making sure your local store has one in stock.

Also they had an offer on nappies so I got 2 packs for £6 (46 nappies in total) and bag free (they charge £30 otherwise).

It's not huge I have to say, I was optimistic I'd use it as the little guys hospital bag (so naive lol!!) but it's now packed with nappies, cream, wipes, etc as just a nappy bag and on the pushchair ready and works well as just a nappy bag with essentials in (I have a bad habit of being over prepared lol). You have to wait for your welcome pack to arrive in the post with your coupon though which took 2.5 weeks for me so if you need it now might be worth just buying one else where x

You can never be over-prepared, chillis!

Thanks for the info. I liked my Boots changing bag. I'd wanted a lovely expensive leather one but was glad I ended up with a serviceable one that I didn't feel precious about.

We use an old laptop-type bag we had lying around. We didn't want to spend money til we knew what we needed but turns out it's perfect Smile

Agree that the Boots one is great. If for whatever reason you can't get that one then try TK Maxx. I got a brilliant one there very cheaply

Primark do oil cloth bags for a few quid. Which is worth it for a bag bound to get sticky with leaked cream & used to put dirty bag clothes in.

We've been using the Boots freebie for DD and after nearly 2 years the lining is pulling out but really good for a freebie. I think it will hold together until she's potty trained.
Just acquired a second one for DC2 (due in 6 weeks) as the first one is clearly not going to last for another. Additionally it's not vast so we won't get enough stuff for 2 DCs (inc cloth nappies) in a boots change bag.

I bought Little Lifestyles City Hobo bag from Argos(also available at Tesco). Currently £23 and big enough I think. Come with a changing mat and some other bits iirc.

Not as cheap as the freebie boots one of course!
