Help Now I think I'm losing the plot!

Hello ladies!

I really need your help and someone to tell me I'm not losing my marbles! 👎

I was pregnant earlier this year in April about 8 weeks when I had an early scan, the doctors were shocked to find that I had an empty scan but increasingly high HCG levels from blood and urine samples. Therefore they were not able to tell me whether I was pregnant or not they were very evasive and confused.

However 3 days after this scan I suffered a miscarriage where I lost substantial about of blood and tissue yet my HCG blood levels were still increasing which left them stumped again! Another scan indicated whilst I was bleeding that everything was coming away as normal. However my bloods were still rising 2 days after and they discharged me and told me to do a home test a couple of weeks later which came back negative.

My husband and I have been trying to get on with our lives but my pregnancy symptoms are still present and increasingly noticeable. A couple of weeks ago I was walking to work when our of nowhere something that felt like a cramp but hard and bulgy in my stomachs almost as if something moved. This frightened me and I decided to forget about it. My urination is incredibly frequent and I am sure I do not have an infection. I have sharp abdo man in my lower right side. I am a bigger built girl about size 14 and underneath the fat my belly does feel hard. However what's most concerning and has been happening for a couple of week is the fact that I am producing breast milk/colostrum ! My breast sometimes leak and drive and occasionally if I squeeze my nipple it will come out. My breasts are also tender. I have done other pregnancy tests which are negative but I can't help but think that I am pregnant or that I only miscarried on baby of two and that it went unnoticed.

That's the only way I can explain what is happening to my body is there anyone who can relate or help please tell me I am not mad!

Diva

Hmm sounds promising but it's best to get checked out. Call GP and ask for emergency app or failing that the maternity dept to try and get a scan! Good luck!!

Was it an ectopic pregnancy?

EmB1715- I went down to the GP this afternoon and I am so Angry angry right now. I told him about my cramps, the movement, the frequent urination and above all the milky discharge from nipples. He did a urine sample and said the test was negative for pregnancy and infection and didn't know what else to say so he gave me anti-biotics for a water infection to be on safe side Confused I am sure there is more too it and how can he give me anti-biotcis for a water infection i do not have, i feel like he just fobbed me off due to the rush Angry

JanePlanet- was a normal pregnancy.

Does anyone know if it is possible for a pregnancy test to give a false result?

How frustrating :(
Yes if you are far along you probably won't get a positive as the HCG reduces or something technical like that. (sorry baby brain)
I'd go to a different GP and demand a referral to the hospital.

Thank you so much! Your giving me so much confidence! The way the doctors have spoke to me is disgraceful, they haven't been understanding and have completely dismissed half of my obvious symptoms. I was thinking if they won't refer me or do a scan then should I pay for a private one to put my mind at ease ? I feel like I'm going doolally!

Are you sure after a certain time they won't be positive because the doctor would have realised that wouldn't he? Couldn't trouble one of you to do a test to see if it would ? I would have been 24 weeks roughly if I am pregnant and it's a twin that survived as I am thinking:/ I sound crazy saying that out load!

Go to hospital and get it checked out, it does sound odd.

Wow, how confusing. If you can afford a private scan just go for it!

A private scan would probably be quicker to arrange tbh.

I just poas and it came up positive instantly, but I'm about a month behind you (if you're pregnant) so I don't know how yours would turn out. Sorry Flowers

Hi diva

Did you to the hospital?

Report

Any news diva?

I have to say that the symptoms you are describing remind me of my sil. She has never been pregnant to my knowledge but her body's natural levels of hcg are far too high. This results in a lot of the things you mention, the main one being lactating milk. She is under the hospital for this as she's been told that if they can't get the levels under control then she may not be able to have children because essentially her body constantly thinks its pregnant. Sorry, this is the way she explained it to me so not sure how medically accurate it is, but perhaps it's another thing to ask docs to check/consider? Hopefully this isn't the case with you.

Really hope you are okay.
