Pregnancy

old wives tales and baby gender

Currently 11-weeks along and am dying with curiosity to know if I'm having a DS or DD. I've been reading all the old wives tales about guessing the baby's gender - did anyone find any of them rang true for their pregnancies?

I'm curious to know this too. Currently 12+5 and at my nuchal scan the Dr said she was pretty sure she knew the gender but didn't want to say until 16 weeks. Aaargh!

I thought I was quite happy to wait until she said that and now I've been googling nub theory and skull theory stuff and trying to compare my blurry scan pics to no avail.

Both my pregnancies have been exactly the same and I have two girls.

This time round I have sickness which I have never had before so dh is convinced its a boy.

I have a DD & DS already , and both pregnancies were different. I'm pregnant with #3 and it's been totally different again so I had no idea. But, I had a dream about having a boy. Found out this week that we're expecting a boy Smile

So far I have one DD. Had Hyperemesis and really bad skin which are both meant to indicate a girl. Am now pregnant again with the same symptoms. We shall see.

I am having a girl - and had some of the old wives symptoms - shocking morning sickness, left boob bigger than right (other way round before pg), craving oranges and satsumas (i think apples for boys?). I thought it was a girl too - but i had a 50% chance of being right. Grin Now I am 35 weeks on friday I have only put on a stone from start weight (10 stone) and have a large bump but lost weight everywhere else (prob due to morning sickness - lost a stone at first), and people say this means a boy, so basically a lot is a load of nonsense, but good fun all the same.

I Googled every single old wives tale plus did the Chinese gender predictor and they all said boy.
My baby girl is currently sleeping beside me. ....

I am pg with a girl and definitely had far less sickness this time than last time with my boy.

Key thing for me that made me think it was a girl this time was a metallic taste in my mouth early on. Oh, and DH was away so we only dtd a few days before ovulation, not during or after. I was surprised to get pg actually and immediately said "I bet it's a girl".

Oh, another thing, I looked up the nub theory thing this time and, based on that, my 12 wk scan image did suggest a girl. Although in the 4D scan I think she looks just like my boy facially!
