It sounds like labour might be on its way...

I was thinking this might be labour starting but both the dd's have been sicky with stomach bugs this week, so I might just have caught that?

It might be..uummm...Nature's Natural Clear-out, so to speak.

Before I had DD and DS I had a dodgy stomach but its apparently quite common (avoids an enema I guess!)

Look forward to your birth announcement. Grin

Don't seem to have anything resembling contractions though.

Oh mine didn't either, but I needed shares in Andrex. TMI I know. Grin

Went on for hours, short trips to the toilet, then normal then back to the toilet.

both my labours started with a bad tummy, about 12hrs prior to contractions kicking in.

GET THAT BAG PACKED Wink Grin

Yep, me too, dodgy stomach, nothing else, then SPLOSH my waters burst. And I hadn't packed my bag...let that be a lesson to you! I was tottering about muttering 'big pants in case of a C-section, er, where did they go?' Grin

Oh you poor love...hope it clears up before your baby really does arrive, then. I have caught dd's bug, and must admit, the thought of imminent delivery feeling weak and floppy does not appeal.

And guess what...

bag still not packed.
Just didn't feel up to it today.

given that a tummy bug can kick start labour (the same way a curry or castor oil might) could you get Dh to pack your bag for you? jic!

And if it does start, good luck- everyone here is thinking of you and yours and sending lots of love.

BTW if you start to get dehydrated, bell the MW- they might want to admit for rehydration.

emkana · 01/06/2006 20:31

I might get dh to do it in a minute.

I have a feeling though that I will pack the bag MI-style, when contractions are already there or something...

I just can't bring myself to do it!

To be fair everything's in one room and I know where stuff is, so it won't take 2 mins

Yeah sister left packing bag until last minute too, she got rushed in and her Dh had to do it. you can only imagine the crud she had to wear! At last if he does it now you can instruct him.

Still here, still in one piece, currently debating whether to go on day trip on Sunday (see thread in chat, advice greatly appreciated!)

Hmm, well if you're considering a day trip, you presumably are feeling better bug-wise? Thats good, at least. Not sure what to suggest re trip, not experienced enough...but do pack your bag and take your notes with you if its far from home...Wink
Good luck, will be thinking of you!
