I have been very sick and feel so yucky and weak, plus both the dd's to look after...

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaail

LadySherlockofLGJ Thu 01-Jun-06 11:02:38

Been to the toilet ??

Sorry if that is a bit blunt.

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 11:02:42

Bag still unpacked btw

I like to take risks

motherinferior Thu 01-Jun-06 11:03:03

It sounds like labour might be on its way...

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 11:03:14

Yes the toilet and me are great friends today

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 11:03:54

I was thinking this might be labour starting but both the dd's have been sicky with stomach bugs this week, so I might just have caught that?

BettySpaghetti Thu 01-Jun-06 11:05:04

It might be..uummm...Nature's Natural Clear-out, so to speak.

Before I had DD and DS I had a dodgy stomach but its apparently quite common (avoids an enema I guess!)

LadySherlockofLGJ Thu 01-Jun-06 11:05:27

Look forward to your birth announcement.

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 11:07:08

Don't seem to have anything resembling contractions though.

LadySherlockofLGJ Thu 01-Jun-06 11:09:36

Oh mine didn't either, but I needed shares in Andrex. TMI I know.

Went on for hours, short trips to the toilet, then normal then back to the toilet.

lucykate Thu 01-Jun-06 11:12:36

both my labours started with a bad tummy, about 12hrs prior to contractions kicking in.

GET THAT BAG PACKED

motherinferior Thu 01-Jun-06 11:17:06

Yep, me too, dodgy stomach, nothing else, then SPLOSH my waters burst. And I hadn't packed my bag...let that be a lesson to you! I was tottering about muttering 'big pants in case of a C-section, er, where did they go?'

Elibean Thu 01-Jun-06 11:38:45

Me too, but I'm only 13 weeks. For you: get your bag packed!!

sugarfree Thu 01-Jun-06 11:53:06

I think you could be on your way!

MerlinsBeard Thu 01-Jun-06 11:55:42

get ur flippin bag packed woman!

in all seriousness though i was just thinking fo you today and wondered if u were "nearly there"

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 19:37:36

It really is a stomach bug, I'm still here and very fed up.

Elibean Thu 01-Jun-06 19:49:42

Oh you poor love...hope it clears up before your baby really does arrive, then. I have caught dd's bug, and must admit, the thought of imminent delivery feeling weak and floppy does not appeal.

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 19:50:45

And guess what...

bag still not packed.
Just didn't feel up to it today.

peachyClair Thu 01-Jun-06 20:26:17

given that a tummy bug can kick start labour (the same way a curry or castor oil might) could you get Dh to pack your bag for you? jic!

And if it does start, good luck- everyone here is thinking of you and yours and sending lots of love.

BTW if you start to get dehydrated, bell the MW- they might want to admit for rehydration.

emkana Thu 01-Jun-06 20:31:07

I might get dh to do it in a minute.

I have a feeling though that I will pack the bag MI-style, when contractions are already there or something...

I just can't bring myself to do it!

To be fair everything's in one room and I know where stuff is, so it won't take 2 mins

peachyClair Thu 01-Jun-06 20:37:35

Yeah sister left packing bag until last minute too, she got rushed in and her Dh had to do it. you can only imagine the crud she had to wear! At last if he does it now you can instruct him.

RTKangaMummy Thu 01-Jun-06 20:38:52

Hope you wait 'til after ER but seriously my friend had tummy bug then baby

Arabica Thu 01-Jun-06 22:27:52

Oooh, good luck Emkana! Keep us posted.
