A few days before I got my bfp I had some very very light spotting/ discharge and this has continued, only once or twice a day. Its so so light and I know anything brown is considered old blood but just to hear it from someone else.
I have my first docs app nxt week so will be mentioning this, if I wasn't constantly being paraniod or knicker checking its so light I'd prob never notice it, just someone reassure me its ok?? Xx

Oh well at least it is only a few days to go and hopefully it will help put your mind at ease a bit.

I know that when I was worried about something even a couple of hours could seem to take ages. Do you have any plans for the weekend?

I´m sure everything is fine

Congratulations!!

Between my 5th and 10th week I have several bleeding episodes, always light but ranging between bright red to pale pink to brown.

I'm now 16 weeks pregnant and have had 2 scans and everything is going well so far :)

Completely normal, probably implantation bleeding. Congratulations.

This kind of bleeding is always the first sign for me that I'm pg and everything is going well (the blood is being released as the embryo burries into the lining of the uterus and I always figure that it's a good sign that it's plugging into the necessary blood flow!!). The only pg I didn't have this kind of bleeding (and for me it continues off and on until up to 20 weeks!) was the pg I miscarried because it hadn't implanted properly. Good luck and congratulation on your pg!

I'm now 30 weeks and have had little bright red bleeds on and off all the way through, they've never found any reason for it, it happened with ds2 as well. Hope everything is ok for you.

Hi blondebaby

congrats on ur pg:-) i had the very same at the start of this pg (now 33 weeks) at 7 weeks i hd a really bad bleed it was really heavy and lasted over a w/end...i rang the epu and they wuld only see me that monday...it was so heavy that i was sure i hd lost little beany but when i hd the scan a few days later all was well...the only explanation they culd give was the hormones rising was irritating my cervix so fingers crossed for you its all just part of the process...gd luck on tues:-)

I would talk to your doctor/midwife about this. I had this on and off from 6weeks to 8weeks pg, and everything was fine. DC1 is 5 now. My GP kindly sent me for an early pregnancy scan which showed everything was fine, and at the hospital they also tested me for some type of bacteria that can cause miscarriage (if you have it, you can be treated for it with an antibiotic - I didn't.)

Congratulations OP, I had the same as you. Mine was so heavy I thought it was AF arriving so drank half a bottle of wine that night only to take a test the next morning on a whim and find a BFP staring back up at me. I am now 21 weeks in, and have had no other problems aside from all the usual apart from a wee bit of guilt.

thanx everyone, like i say i'm not overly worried, just wanted to hear it from someone else, If anything it only seems to make an appearance in the mornings...very odd!!! will mention it to the doc nxt week.
Ineedo, plans for the weekend are doing as little as i can possibly get away with, had a fairly busy week at work so if and its a big IF we get some sun i shall be chilling in the garden Grin xx
ilovestacking, can understand the guilt but i bet so many women have drunk loads, more than half bottle of wine and discovered they were pregnant and everything was fine...i tested on a whim 4 days before af was due, i dread to think what i poss may have drunk last weekend if not xx

Well put your feet up and relax.

I am sure everything will be fine!

I new other posters would be able to give you first hand postive stories.

Have a Brew and a Biscuit with it (why does MN not have a chocolate smily?) and have a good weekend.

Congrats! I thought I had my period last July but it was only heavy brown with a bit of dark red and only needed a few tampons a day instead of the usual several. At the end of that week I got a BFP and I'm now sitting here BFing my gorgeous 6 week old DD!

The knicker-checking went on for weeks though Grin

Had exactly this about 3 days before BFP was like very early period, but AF never came hence took a test. Definitely normal.
