16 week scan, baby slightly bigger?

Also, during my scan the sonographer said my baby looks 17 weeks. But he is supposed to be just 16 weeks today. Is this normal? I told her that, then she said, well he lookes about 16 and half weeks. During my 12 week scan, I was sure the baby was 12 weeks 2 days and it turned out he was 12 weeks 4 days. But now, after the corrected dates he still looks a little bigger then what he should be at 16 weeks. I know its only a few days bigger, but still I wonder? The sonographer didnt seemed fussed about it.

Babys grow at there own pace, but a scan around 12wks is the best time to date a pregnancy as they do grow at a similar pattern at that gestation, then they pick there own pace up, by my 19wk scan babys growth had slowed slightly making him come up as less then what I was, and my last ds at 19wks was measuring much bigger then what I was, its not uncommon, and most babys will differ from the sizes after the 12wk scan xx

I wouldn't worry . My ds was measuring between 2 and 3 weeks further on since my 20 weeks scan . He ended up 5 days late but he was a big 10lber !Grin

All babies and all pregnancies are different so try not to worry !! (not that it's sooo easyGrinGrin)
