Pregnancy

Only 5 weeks - look 5 months! Help!

I am nearly 5 weeks (4+5) and so incredibly bloated today and yesterday that a) I cannot fit any trousers or skirts, only stretchy jersey dresses/maxis on my fat whale shaped body and b) I look like I'm totally showing already - I'm so worried work will figure out way before I'm ready to tell them.

Anyone have advice on cutting down the bloating? I am eating more healthily than I have ever done before, four or five small meals, plenty of fibre, not constipated, loads of water - but I am almost breathless from this football tummy I'm lugging about Hmm

Help me, MN!

thatll be water retention bloating- i got that very bad... i still get it at 14w. something about pregnancy makes you cling onto any fluid in your body. eventually mine gets replaced with a bump xx

I thought so honey. Bah. Is drinking even MORE water and peeing all night long without ever stopping the only cure?

I heard peppermint tea was good for bloating. But yes plenty of fluids to flush out the excess fluids and is also good for digestion. I'm nearly 27wks now and been so up and down this pregnancy because of this reason, at points I thought oo I have a bump for it to go a few days later lol its still same now x

beckie will try that - I bought loads anyway (less suss at work than decaff coffee!) thank you!

nanny don't say that - my MIL was one of triplets... I do want three, just not all at once...
