faint line on test?

Hi, so I did a test a couple of days before af was due and I thought I was going crazy and imagining a very faint line so I just thought it was a negative. I did a test this morning as I'm late (af due 28th april) and I'm getting a faint line. It's with those strips what you can pick up cheap so I'm a bit wary of them. :/ Anyway, here is the picture. I took a few shots of it in different lighting. On the stick it looks fainter than on the photos too. Would one of those strips be accurate so early? tinypic.com/r/2v836a0/5

Congratulations Thanks

It looks like a definite positive to me. (there aren't quite enough photos to give a truely accurate answer though Wink ) Get yourself out and get a clearblue (not a digital, they are crap) if you don't believe it.

Congratulations! Definitely looks positive to me but I would go and get a clear blue test to make sure. :)

A line is a line is a line, no matter how faint. My first positive was so faint you could only see it in direct sunlight, and I wasn't even late yet. That line is now 3.5 years old.

Congratulations! Thanks

There's nothing to be wary of (that's how expensive test folk make money out of you). Cheap tests are just that, cheap. They aren't crap or substandard. In fact they're often more sensitive than more e

Congratulations - defo positive. I did 5 pregnancy tests with the same stick you've used and the doctor confirmed the tests were accurate. She said these sticks are just as accurate as Clearblue just way cheaper!

That looks like my faint line. I got a clearblue and that came up strongly positive within seconds Smile

This happened to me....did a cheapo test the line took 15mins to come up but was very feint. Bought one of those first response ones the next day and both tests came through with clear positive lines!!! Sounds like you are!!

I checked my faint positive with a clear blue digi and then you get a clear 'pregnant' so no confusion!

missymoo purely out of interest, why do you think the clear blue digital ones are rubbish?

EuroShaggleton · 29/04/2013 16:55

They are clear positives, not even that faint! Congrats.

Apple I used 6 with my last pregnancy (twas a shock one) 2 didn't work, the screen just came up with the timer and stuck like that, 2 were positive and 2 were negative. Speaking to quite a few people since then I would say about a third of them had the screen stick on the timer on at least one of the digital tests. They are very expensive and I'm too cheap for it to be so hit and miss Grin .

missy ahh fair comment! I had two that were positive and one with the book thing showing! But my experience has been ok with them! Bit as previously mentioned, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the cheapy ones! First one I ever did was a cheapy from home bargains, 69p and it didn't let me down! Haha.

Congratulations!! Enjoy the lack of symptoms - I had sore breasts then at 6 weeks, had nausea that lasted 6 weeks!
