Reassurance needed re bleeding

8 weeks today and had bleeding over the weekend and convinced ourselves things were over. However, had a scan on Monday and saw the heartbeat so absolute relief. Since then been having on and off bleeding. Not gushes of red blood but discharge which is blood stained (sorry if TMI). Blood is a red/brown colour.

At the scan they did say no need to come back unless passing clots or bleeds for 2 weeks. However, doesn't stop me stressing out tonight having seen blood again.

Oh dear, how stressful. I had bleeding at about 6 weeks and am now 25 weeks and healthy. Still bleed occasionally after sex. If the blood is brownish then it's likely to be old blood and not a risk to your baby. I know they said no need to go back, but you can always go to your early pregnancy unit for a scan, you can just turn up and wait to be seen. It might stop you worrying, which is important in itself! Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!

With dd1 I had bleeding from 5 to 11 weeks. With dd2 it was from 6 to 10, and again at 25 Shock . They are now 4 and 15 months. I understand what you mean, its awful going to the toilet and seeing blood but after a while I got into the mindset of 'if I was going to miscarry I would have by now'. I had red blood, pink blood, brown blood and prune juice Hmm

Currently 35 weeks and all going well.
Had brownish bleeding from week 4 to 8 and then again at 25 weeks. Was told its probably from a cyst on my cervix due to the hormones. Still bloody worrying though. Hope it all settles for you.
