So I may have to join you in the no exercise club - Zumba with sore boobs was not fun! Just felt knackered and couldn't be arsed (already there with the no sex - just have no desire to do anything to risk disturbing the bean, plus still brown gunking)

DH (bless him) has just asked "how far along are we", "5-6 weeks", "oh really I though we were 3 weeks" Hmm

Sorry just realised it's a crap thread title, does someone want to do another one?

Oh my DH was the same. We told his parents on Sunday and they asked how far on I was and he just stared at me as if to ask the same question! When I said 9wks he seemed quite shocked!!

I was boob poking earlier thinking they maybe weren't as sore as they should be...then came the speed bumps in the way home and booooom the ache! My arms are getting fat, might do some weights with tins if beans...surely they aren't too heavy?!

Dh isn't getting much off me either. Mostly because the clexane kind of kills the mood every night. Only time we seem to manage it is in the afternoon at the weekend. Looking forward to our hol in a couple of weeks. Hopefully will get plenty of nookie in then. Poor dh -keeps dry humping me!!

I made it to a new shiny thread. It was a goal of mine a few weeks ago to make it to the end of the last thread.

I go away for a few days and you ladies decide to get down and dirty. I had a burst of friskiness after my last scan, the relief I think. OH now seems to regard me as a bizarre mix of sacred vessel for his offspring, and giant hard hot boobies that he wants to be having a go on all the time. Very confusing. I think if I didn't put out for 9 months I would end up a single mum! I would be lying if I said having relations didn't make me a bit anxious tho.

Still in Paris and have a day sight seing tomorrow. Also must find some roughage. The only fruit I have eaten has come on top of tarts and I don't think that counts. Have not pooed since Blighty. TMI??

Hello all, wondered if i could join you over here? Pg at the moment after having mc in Aug and Dec last year. Currently 8+3 and this is the furthest i've got with a pg so keeping fingers crossed but stressing over every twinge!

Had to have a scan at 6+4 as had a bit of spotting and got to see our bun with a little heartbeat! got booking in appt on Friday so thats my next milestone.

Hope you are all well as can be x x

Marking place Smile

I had an early scan yesterday & saw a sac & yolk! No heartbeat yet but it's too early so booked again for a weeks time - fingers crossed

I am also debating exercise - want to do Body Pump & lots of people seem to carry on doing it whilst preg but a bit wary (& lazy) to do it just yet.....

Aoife - I think if you eat lots & lots of tarts that would be equal lots of fruit consumption Grin

andadietcoke · 24/04/2013 07:02

Yay booty that sounds promising. And not long to wait a week Smile

Aoife a nice lyonnaise salad shouldn't be too hard to find in lovely Pareee?! I'm jealous. I love France.

Have a lovely day everyone Grin

That's great Booty - are you paying privately or at the EPU? I am sorely tempted to book a scan as early as possible to see heartbeat but would mean going without DH and if it's bad new think i'll need him to get me home.
If you've been doing exercise regularly before, then should be ok to continue through early pg. but I'd probably go down in the weights you are using for Bodypump as you'll get more relaxin hormone coming on which softens your ligaments and you could stretch yourself more than you should. Especially with all those squats. Maybe go low weight and eventually just use the bar for those?
or give up and eat cake

Hi vixJane - you are vv welcome, impressed you found us with my vv crap/cryptic thread title.

Today I am pregnant! And also aching from Zumba last night

Thanks for the welcome! chocolate i was going to post on the old thread but didn't get chance as we went away for the weekend and then spotted your new thread.

booty i'm alsothinking about exercise! I played roller derby before pg but am thinking about starting swimming as can't skate anymore (i've also had to be inventive with the excuses!) DH has offered to pay for a membership for local pool for me. Congrats on ypur scan and fingers crossed for next week!

Hi vix congrats and welcome Smile

Good scan news booty hope your week goes quickly Smile

Hey pink less obsessive today, am at work so don't have the luxury! It's a very good thing, give my poor brain a break from the stress! Still had a mini breakdown in the shower as boobs didn't feel as heavy and tummy looked a bit flatter Confused How about you?

Good morning ladies, nice to be on the new thread (choc I like the title, thanks for doing it!)

Vixjane congratulations and welcome! And booty great news on your scan, not long till the next one!

Bodicea good luck with your booking appointment today!

Aoif I hope you're enjoying Paris despite all the tempting food not allowed in pregnancy

Hi to everyone else!

Sorry for disappearing, I've been following the thread just didn't post - I've been sooooooooo stressed these past few days in the lead-up to my 12-week scan which was yesterday!! (at the Fetal Medicine Centre, the NHS one is today). All went well - both the scan and Harmony test results - and I can't describe how relieved and delighted I am. And it's the first time I'll go for a scan at my local hospital (later this morning) without shaking like a leaf! I guess I should calm down now but most probably I'll start stressing again by the weekend!

No boob growth for me but my bump is getting quite obvious so I guess I'll have to announce the pregnancy pretty soon (with DD I manager to hide it till 20 weeks - some people had noticed, most hadn't). Am I the only one whose husband/partner doesn't want to have sex because he finds it weird with me carrying his baby? ("sacred vessel for his offspring" Grin love it Aoif!) Not that I mind - I'm not feeling particularly frisky at the mo and I'd too nervous to dtd even though I know it's safe!

Bootyluscious · 24/04/2013 09:52

Thanks everybody, it was nice to see that things are moving ahead on schedule even if its very early Smile

Choc - I'm an expat & have the scans under my medical insurance, they don't seem to mind how many you have which I'm sure is not going to be a good thing - don't want to end up there every week, plus its the internal dildo one so i don't want them thinking i have some sort of fetish hehe Grin the best thing at this stage was knowing its not ectopic as I'd been getting a couple of sharp proddy stabs. Thanks for the advice re Body Pump, I had no idea re the ligaments so will definitely go a bit lighter when (if) I start! Smile

Welcome Vix - I've never heard of roller derby?! It sounds very energetic Grin

23 hours and 50 minutes to go. This morning I've managed to convince myself I'm in pre term labour. I need slapping - even if I am there's nothing I can do about it. I just don't know how to tell the difference between BH, normal twin growing pains and PTL contractions. Argh.

Hi all,
Just popping in to mark my place. I can't believe that we have finished another thread! All the exercise talk is making me feel lazy! Am missing my Zumba as stopped after ovulation on the month I conceived due to previous miscarriages. The most exercise I seem to be doing is lifting my arm to press the buttons on the remote or to fill my mouth with carby, stodgy rubbish! I need to get walking or something!
So this afternoon I am off to my booking in midwife appointment! Am actually quite petrified as it feels such a big step in the right direction. Further to fall I suppose if it all goes wrong after here. I have also booked a private Nuchal scan for May 11th in the Midlands for £175.

Welcome to all the newbies. Sorry I get too confused to name check everyone. Gives me a headache on my phone!

Hi lucky. I have booking too today. Mine is at 5:15 and despite what people have said I think will still drag dh as he only works round corner from hospital so he can come after work. So it's no big stretch for him - even if he is bored rigid. Are you taking yours ?

vicks we have matching mc history. Mine were in August and December too. Welcome to the thread. Your in good company xxx

I have slacked off excercise a bit. Still been playing badminton every week except last night as feel rotten with a cold but been a bit slack on the Zumba mostly coz I can't be bothered at mo not because I think it's dangerous. My philosophy is if its a good healthy bean it will stick around whatever you do. Most mcs are due to chromosome problems/ implantation problems or poss in my case - but I am doubtful - blood clotting problems x

Hi all, eek good luck with the scans and booking ins ladies! I made DH come with me, but mainly as mine included a scan and he wanted to be there. The rest was boring for him in the waiting room but I was glad he was there so I had someone to smile with when things were ok Smile

I have my mum ringing round all the private places this morning to price the nt scan for us, DH and I are both in busy offices so never get a chance for a personal call. Although I've obviously convinced myself that this is a jinx and ill pay out loads if money and there won't be anything to see

I've booked in to get the flu jab on Friday morning, has anyone else had it? Any pain, is it in your arm, does it make you sick? 20 questions!!

Mega meltdown, having period type pains...had to take some paracetamol (dissolvable as I think taking a tab would make me vom Hmm) I'm so worried, gonna try the Doppler tonight in the very slight hope it might put my mind at rest Confused

IBelieveInPink · 24/04/2013 13:04

Oh shell, can you call a midwife maybe? If pains that bad maybe they will see you? My friend has offered me her dopplar, I don't know whether to risk using it?
I am equally still stressy pants today. Busy at work though which is helping, but DH is away tonight so looks like an evening of freaking out for me!

Pentagon - congrats! Into the safe zone, Yaay!

Janie - flu jab is fine, slight achy arm, nothing compared to pregnancy cramps!
