Placenta encapsulation?

I have read various things online stating that doing this will stop you from getting PND and boost your milk supply.

I suffered from PND with my DS and I couldn't breast feed as my milk just wasn't satisfying him. I was absolutely gutted and I am doing everything I can to boost my supply so I can breast feed this baby (24+3 weeks pregnant).

I found someone online who picks your placenta up from the hospital and prepares it in capsules for you to consume and reap the benefits.

I would love to hear if anyone has done this or knows if the benefits are legitimate.

Thanks.

Hi,

I encapsulate placentas and can say that nearly all women who have had it done have found that they have a fab supply. Your milk can come in quicker than normal as well so that 3rd day of baby suckling every hour is rare too. It has been reported that women who have suffered PND before haven't suffered after the next birth if placenta pills are taken. I think this is mainly down to the milk supply, it is such a worry when you feel like you don't have enough & that in itself can start that downward spiral.

Take a look on www.placentanetwork.com for more info & your local specialists for more advice :-)
