Hi I'm probably being a bit neurotic but I'm really worried about the current measles outbreak.
I don't live too close to the main area affected but its bound to spread now isn't it?
My baby will be here in a week and I'm worried she might catch it. Is there anything extra I can do to try and prevent it? Or to make it less likely?
I'm quite prepared to be told I'm being neurotic and to chill out :).

If you've had measles vaccine or the disease itself then baby should have enough of your antibodies to protect her until she has the MMR. I think!

Breastfeeding will probably help even if you can just manage first few days. My DD2 is due in three weeks and this is also worrying me.
