Ten pin bowling

I am meant to be going to Center Parcs and will be 10wks. Ten pin bowling is already booked - is this something safe to do when pregnant or not. I am trying to avoid telling people until after the scan and not bing able to do activities might lead to an early disclosure being needed.

If your worried, talk to your midwife.

I'm pretty sure ten pin bowling is ok. Just maybe use a lighter ball.

Swimming, archery, cycling etc all fine. Would not go horse riding, go karting, or anything else that may cause you to fall, crash, etc.

Have fun in Center parcs. Smile

I would definitely have gone at 10 weeks, but it's very individual. Just be careful you're not straining anything, but really at this stage you should be fine bowling! Smile

Of course you are fine ten pin bowling. What harm could it do? It's a fairly safe activity at the end of the day. I wouldn't even worry about the weight of the ball, just use the one that is most comfortable to you. I think the risk with lifting stuff is that your ligaments are looser in pregnancy, not that it could harm the baby (who is tucked up nice and safe in your pelvis)
As mentioned above, I'd only avoid activities with a significant risk of falling (horse riding if you are not used to it, perhaps winter sports). Well, actually I personally avoided most physical activities but that was more due to laziness...

I'm sure you'll be fine. I played golf until I was 14 weeks. Only stopped because the bag was getting too heavy!

Why would tenpin bowling be harmful? I mean, could it be any worse than manhandling a tantrumming toddler at 10w pregnant?
