41+2 and completely losing the will to live !! Every little pain I'm getting I think this is it!! But then nothing!
I had a "good" sweep on Wednesday which brought on my mucous plug and pains all last night and today but no progression! Booked in for induction on Monday am but REALLY want to avoid being induced!!
Would love some words of support from other over due mummy's or at least some company in the fact that being overdue sucks! Any miracle remedies that will help him along would be great full too Smile x

Solidarity from me - I'm 40+3 and I think by (if) the time I get to your stage I'll be going mental. At the moment I'm putting up a good front of being relaxed and going with the flow, but underneath it I'm impatient as all hell and just desperate to get on with things. I've been having period-type pains for weeks, sometimes for a day or so at a time, but no pattern or anything like that and no other signs of anything being imminent. Baby seems quite happy in there and I don't blame it - I wouldn't want to come out into this endless winter either!

Have you tried all the usuals of long walks, sex, etc?

I got so fed up waiting I stomped 4 miles up and down steep hills (with spd so no mean feat). It did the trick, I went into labour next morning. Worth a try....

Tinker, you can refuse to be induced, just get yourself and baby monitored. Hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, it's just it's not a fait accompli just because they say you must be induced on X date.

My lo was born at 41 weeks, I was getting fed up and sick of the 'anything today' questions lol
My labour was 90 mins and we didn't even make it into the hospital, delivered her myself in the car outside! So you never know, she took her time deciding to come, but once she did, there was no stopping her!
