40+2 today and usually have a 30-35 day cycle. Are they linked?

My cycle was anything between 18 and 35 days and ds born at 38 weeks. [unhelpful]

A midwife told me that people with longer cycles have longer pregnancies. I have long cycles and DS was born at 40+13

Unrelated.
Always had a 28day cycle. Dc1 40+13, dc2 39+1.
They come when they're ready.

When I was having my babies I had a 31 day cycle. They were both 3 days over their due date. But I know the plural of anecdote is not data.

Sorry Rightup, hopefully you'll have better luck than me!

28 day cycle, regular as clock work. DC1 born 40+8. DC2 was induced at 40+4 and was showing no signs of coming before then!

I have never heard of this being related before. I think they just come when they are ready.

If your due date was calculated from 12w scan measurements (rather than date of last period), you shouldn't have a longer pregnancy than average (but keeping in mind of course that average still has plenty of people giving birth later than their EDD).

Completely unrelated it seems.

Back to eating this pineapple and bouncing...
