34 weeks today and packed bag at the weekend as away.

37 would be too late for me as that's when I'm being induced!

First time DH was sent home from hospital after I had the baby to bring me things. Second time my waters went and I threw my phone charger, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, kindle, and a packet of apricots into a bag myself in five minutes then set off to hospital.

Maybe I shouldn't be so honest about how rubbish I am. [bublush]

I packed when my contractions were 4 minutes apart with dd

Erm... I'm being induced next Monday if the baby doesn't show up by then. I haven't actually packed my bag yet Blush. On the upside, I finally got round to buying a nursing bra yesterday so I've got all the stuff.

Iirc though, last time I packed it the day I went in. It didn't take long. I was induced then too so wasn't hobbling around in actual labour.

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. My bag was packed by my daughter while she visited this weekend. Otherwise I think it would have been done in between contractions.

I packed my bag around 34 weeks. I didn't put much in cos was hoping for MLU and 6hr discharge. Then at 40+12 had to repack the soddin thing cos the MLU wouldn't accept me so had to have stuff for the extra time i was to be in there

I am 35+4 and I have most of the stuff ready (thrown in a pile in the crib by my bed) just not actually in a bag and a few bits to put in there.

Need to work on my birth plan next I suppose (being induced in 2 weeks)

I'm due to pack my bag this week sometime (am 35 weeks on Wednesday) but DP said this morning that I should consider having a smaller bag and contingency plan for the office because I'm planning on working up until 39 weeks. [buconfused]

I'm not bothering with a birth plan this time either. I'm feeling very relaxed about going with the flow... hope it doesn't come back to bite me.

weeblueberry - I've still got a bit of work to do from home (technically on holiday this week and don't start mat leave until 40 weeks). Not too much, but now that I'm not in the office I'm finding it rather hard to get motivated!

Oh god, I can just see me now - in the throes of labour, typing with one hand trying to get my handover finished, scribbling a last minute birth plan with the other, kicking granny pants and maternity towels into my labour ward bag with one foot, punting sleepsuits and breast pads into my postnatal bag with the other.

Still, staying active in labour is good, yes?

35 Weeks, but only because we were moving house and I had a mental image of going into labour and not being able to find anything because it was all packed up. I carried my notes everywhere from 30ish Weeks though.

About 30 weeks I packed the smaller bag with nappies, clothes etc. Then at about 35 weeks I packed the suitcase because it occured to me that I might have to go into hospital and stay longer (and we live miles from the hospital).

I did keep taking things out and re-arranging things though. And changing my mind about his coming home outfit.

sleepy Yep I see myself being the very same. Grin

"Excuse me client, my contractions are getting rather close. Would you mind if I rescheduled our call?" Then rushing off to the car while desperately trying to set my out of office on my emails...

Weeblueberry - Get That Bag Packed!

Ds2 arrived this morning and I was indeed packing in labour, which wouldn't have been so bad if I'd not started with contractions 3 mins apart and he took 4 hrs start to finish to arrive! Needless to say dh has been sent home for the things I forgot - like clean nightie Blush. Was kind of worth it to have such a quick labour though. Just had time to remember "oh yeah, this bit really hurts" and he was here Smile

I'm 33 weeks and I've started because I'm off work on Easter Hols. When I'm back at work, I won't have chance so I'm treating this as pre-maternity leave lol x

36 weeks on Wednesday and finally packed my bag today. I'm packing a separate bag for baby - currently washing her clothes (using DD1s unused baby gros). Feel better for it; but bub was threatening to arrive at 30 weeks. So have decided I can not be too prepared.

Packed mine at 4 in the morning while having contractions! I was 32 weeks, really wish I'd packed it earlier! My t-shirt for labour was too short and I had my arse hanging out the whole time, really regretted it.
