How often can I take Fybogel?

Im 10wks pg and have been suffering quite badly with constipation. I took one round of fybogel (ie one in morning and one in evening) and that worked. THat was a few days ago though and since then have been struggling again. I cant just keep taking it every day tho can I ?

I was prescribed some by the GP and told to take it twice a day. It's just fibre not medicine so is absolutely fine to take continuously.

If you have no luck with the Fybogel, try Lactulose. You are allowed to take that whilst pregnant and it's pretty effective.

I took it twice a day for most of my pregnancy and a few weeks after DS was born. As Beady Eyes says, its not a 'medicine' as such and is safe to take. Just remember to drink plenty of water too :-)

thanks everyone. im eating loads of fruit and drinking loads of water but just cant seem to get things moving!

I asked my gp this last week as have icky piles causing problems... You can take 2 sachets of fibogel in the morning, and 2 sachets in the evening, so up to 4 a day is not a problem, and certainly gets things moving! Tmi...
