22 weeks - don't feel right.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant with DC2 and a history of miscarriage.

All day long I've felt dizzy and sick, and if I stand up I think I might faint. I also have a terrible pain in my lower back, like the worst period pain I've ever experienced.

I do have GD but I've checked my sugars as normal and they're all in the 4's and 5's so completely fine.

I've had bleeding on and off this pregnancy and had some yesterday morning but much less than normal so I didn't worry too much about it and it stopped.

I sort of feel rubbish enough to go to A&E but as its the weekend I just think they'll make me an appointment for Monday. I think 22 weeks is too early to ring maternity isn't it?

Any advice?

I also have a heavy pressure feeling in my pelvis, like how I felt at 8/9 months pregnant with SPD.

You should have a contact number on your notes, wr have a 24hr community MW service or we head to labour ward.

Don't chance it, go and get checked over

Ring anyway. If they fob you off, ring NHS 24. Trust your instinct. Pitch up to A&E if you get nowhere.

just go to a and e if you really don't feel right. or maybe ring nhs direct first? (or whatever it's called now)

I.don't think.22 weeks is too early? Ring the number on the front of your notes and I'm sure they will advise.

If you feel bad enough for a and e, though, just go to be sure you're ok.

Get checked out curiousgeorgie phone up the maternity ward or go to a&e. I'm sure everything's fine but don't risk it. Please, for your peace of mind.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I would ring maternity forcadvive in your shoes. They might not be able to see you - but even if they can't they will hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. Hope you feel better and all is resolved soon.

I don't actually have any useful advice as i'm 21 weeks with my first so dont know whats normal! but didn't want to read and run. My pregnancy notes say to call labour ward out of hours, so I think that would be reasonable to discuss it with them.

I hope all is ok and it's nothing, but I'm sure someone else with more knowledge will be along shortly.

Ring maternity they are always helpful and if they can't see you they will tell you who can. Make sure you explain your history etc so they get the full picture.

You can usually ring maternity from 20 weeks. Worst pain you have ever experienced needs to be checked out asap. Don't wait until Monday.

I'm looking at my notes and the only number options I've got are...

Antenatal clinic office (results)
Scan Room
Delivery Suite
Appointments
Ambulance Service

Shall I just call NHS direct?

Call the delivery suite first as they will be open at this time. Over 20 weeks is usually the cut off for calling them rather than the early pregnancy unit. Hope all is ok.

Phone delivery suite, if no answer find general hospital number and ask the switch board to put you through. If still no luck go to a&e with an overnight bag!

Definitely get checked out and good luck.

Def call the delivery suit. Could be a UTI they can be really nasty.

Have they checked your BP?
I agree...get seen by hospital maternity unit. I left it a week and I had PET and HELLP syndrome. I was this gestation when I got the pains. It was too late when I was finally seen . They told me gey would eather see 100 false alarms if it helped one woman.
