Got a call from my instructor last night to say he'd have to cancel todays 2 hour lesson (my last one before my test) as his car's broke down with an engine fault. That Rescue Remedy best hurry up in the post! LOL

I was going to suggest Rescue remedy. I think you just have to tell yourself it's not the end of the world if you don't pass your test and just tell yourself to stay calm. Good luck!

Fwiw I'm 31 weeks and I get breathless and panicky (I have a history if anxiety). Sometimes it can be baby's position occupying your rib space! Rescue remedy and sitting propped up had helped me smile

Thankyou Louise!

I read that Rescue Remedy is a good option for calming nerves and OK for pregnant women so hopefully that will help on the morning!

I don't feel too bad today as been busy at work and my mind's been occupied, but when I've been on my own thinking about it it's like I forget how to breathe! Sounds daft I know.

Will just have to make sure i'm not left unattended for too long lol

Thanks again grin

Hi luckyowl, I don't have any helpful advice, but just didn't want your post to go unanswered. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the moment - no wonder you're feeling a bit anxious!

Maybe you should tell just one clos friend or family member that you can trust about the test so you feel like someone's on your side and can give you a bit of support, rather than feeling like you have to put a brave face on everything. No harm in asking for a friendly listening ear!

Good luck with your test. In my opinion though, all the best drivers pass their test second time... that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it! smile

Have always got nervous before big events, but have been quite stressed out at work recently and have my driving test booked for Friday.

I'm 33 weeks with our first and over the last couple of weeks (mainly if i'm on my own) have felt myself getting breathless and faint, with a really heavy feeling in my chest and stomach if I start thinking about things. I'm sure it's a combination of pregnancy hormones and nerves but at the moment i'm not sure i'm going to be able to even go through my test!

I just feel extra pressure to pass before the baby arrives and although I've not told anyone my test date all family and friends keep asking when it is, helpfully chipping in with 'It'll be easy, so and so passed first time and they only had 20 hours... etc'

We haven't lived in this area long (hubby in the forces) so I don't know the roads well and haven't been impressed with my instructor but wimped out of changing.

Sorry I've just realised how much I've rambled... Don't even know what the point is of this post. Think I basically wanted to know if I could be experiencing anxiety and if there's anything I can do about it?
