Hi everyone i'm new to this place, so any help from the mummy experts and soon to be mums ... or anyone with advice would be greatly appreciated. Right heres my situation my fiance and I were planning on start trying for a baby in July which I couldn't wait for I was getting really impatient I just couldn't wait. Now it seems my body kind of caught on to this and thought it would get me a pregnant a little bit sooner than planned. a couple of weeks ago I was sent home from work because I could not stop throwing up this only lasted a day but since then I keep on feeling nauseous at random points during the day especially when i smell certain things (cigarette smoke, coffee and mushy peas for some odd reason). I feel really tired during the day even if I have had an early night. My appetite has seem to have gone down not completely gone away but before this I had quite a big appetite now it seems I can't finish my dinner, and even though I haven't eaten as much I seem to have put on a few pounds (this doesn't make sense to me. My nipples have also gotten larger and my breast seem to be quite tender this usually only happens just before my period. I am now two days late for my period, this would make me (if I am) about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant I did a test a couple of weeks ago but it was negative was this to early ???

Thanks guys I thought it was to early but I'm just a little confused about it all this will be my first If I am pregnant so its a completely new experience to me i'll do another test in the morning fingers crossed xx

If it comes back negative, there's a certain amount of research into a condition called a hysterical pregnancy - that's a horrible name for it, but essentially because your body wants to be pregnant do badly (because you keep thinking about it), your body starts to mimic the symptoms.

Only one way to know for sure though - have you done the test yet?

Ooh definitely poas! Textbook preggo symptoms! May still be a bit early for a bfp as some don't show that early but it will show soon unless it is your mind playing tricks on you. I've had that a couple of times whilst ttc, very easily done. My af was 4 days late once so i was convinced but turns out it was just my body adjusting to coming off the pill! I'm 7 weeks now so got there after a few more months.

Hi there. My boyfriend and I were "like" intimate on 30 November 2012 (first time). The next day when I woke up I had nausea, I couldn't stand the smell of food, I couldn't even stand the smell of toothpaste or soap, I had a funny discharge that was brown/pinkish, lasted for a few hours. I know it was abit too soon to tell but I thought I was pregnant, a few days later I got my period, well that's what I thought, normally my period lasts for 7 days but that time it only lasted for 3. I didn't bother afterwards, I was sure I was not pregnant then last time I started to worry again because my period was 2 weeks late. I went and got myself a pregnancy test, I took the test and one line was maroon and the other line was pink! It was faint! I didn't know if you see two lines, even if its faint, it means you're pregnant.. I didn't bother again! I told my BF I'm not pregnant! Lately I've been eating a lot, been suffering with back pains and abdominal pains.. My BF also noticed I've been moody and I've just been getting annoyed and pissed off at him for the pettiest thing! And, I've been really tired, I've been sleeping more than usual. This month my period is like early but it doesn't seem normal.. My BF and I are really young, we're both under 20 and I'm really terrified, its not possible for me to get to a GP 'cos we also live far from eachother. Is there anyone that can please advise me on whether I'm pregnant or not? Please please!!

Oh yeah and my breasts look much larger and .. They tend to get really sore .. :(

Scared, sounds like you could perhaps do with starting a thread of your own to get some support? Although the only way to get a definite answer to your question is by taking a test.

Op, have you done it yet?

Scared - I would just copy and paste your question onto a new thread, but I think, although some of your symptoms sound like pregnancy, they came on very early. If you took the test and it came back with two lines, usually that means pregnant. Take a digital one that says 'pregnant or not pregnant', make the effort to get to your GP or family planning (you can go to any one near you) it is the only way you are going to know for sure.

hey guys sorry to keep you waiting ... well I took the test a faint line appeared then disappeared so i'm none the less wiser so its a trip to the docs for me to see whats going on will keep you posted xx

yeah I have two so will take another one then and see if its any different I hear its supposed to more acurate in the mornign anyone else heard this ? xx

yes always say to.do test first thing in the morning, do think you are pregant . Let us know how you get on . Good luck
