Bump size paranoia

I'm 37 wks with DC3 and am constantly told how tiny my bump is and it frankly stresses me out. I'm 5.8, 10-12 and very active. I always measure to date at m/w appts but even I'm beginning to think I look small (cue lots of self-comparison against the ladies on One Born last night!) My first babies were largish at 8.6 and 9.2, I expected my 3rd to bigger again. I know it doesn't matter, just paranoid that I haven't nourished this one as well!

Ahh don't worry :) my bumb didn't show till 35wk with second baby, even then it wasnt big at all, he was born at 9ib which was a huge shock to everyone. First was 6.8 2wk late. Baby will be fine, position can effect bump size too, I was told he was normal position but when I was having him I was told he actually had been back to back.

Good luck :) not long now x

Nah don't worry about it Grin Everyone told me how small I was bump wise, and I'm only 5'3" so not many places for baby to go, but had a 9lber in the end! As long as you measure to dates you're just hiding it somewhere!

Just ignore comments like that - drives me nuts! As long as your midwife is happy with your bump size.

I constantly have the opposite - I'm 23 weeks and all I get is "wow - you're huge!" and "is it twins?".

My womb slopes back, and I never show until 8 months, and even then, people refuse to believe I am over 5 months pregnant, so don't stress, just be chuffed you will have less stretch marks and sping back to per pregnancy size quicker :-)

It seems to be the rule that people must say your bump is either tiny or massive, never just right! Everyone says mine is small but I measured small with both of my other children and they were 7.11 and 7.5. Measuring 2 weeks small at last appointment but midwife not worried at all.

I have been really upset recently by people commenting saying bump is small I feel like they are saying I'm not nourishing baby but at 32 week scan was measuring around 5lbs this bump is smaller than DS who was 9.2 but wish people would keep their comments to themselves. Dunno why people can't just say you have a nice bump or perfect it has to be big or small.
I am 5'8 and I think people compare your bump to the sticky out bumps of smaller ladies but I think bumps look a bit smaller on taller people. So prob same for you.
If your midwife isn't worried you shouldn't be you may have to try and ignore comments Sad
