Feeling baby kicking towards the, um, rear...?

I have an anterior placenta and am 23+6 so have had trouble feeling the baby kick strongly at the front. I take it then it's normal to feel her kicking in different and odd feeling places? Normally I feel her kicking quite low down, almost as though she's kicking my cervix. But tonight I'm feeling VERY strong kicks towards my back passage. Almost like when you're very gassy but it's definite kicks. It's been so much stronger tonight than I've ever felt her kick before - can I assume it's just how she's positioned herself this evening? ie her feet might be right next to my rectum? Sorry for the TMI...

I'm 23+4 and have an anterior placenta. I have felt this as well, not as strong as you describe, but there is definitely movement low and towards back passage. I did have a few days with obvious movement at the front, but she seems to have turned inwards now and all movements are very low and it feels quite strange!

I have an anterior placenta and have had exactly the same thing blueberry - I'm 28+4 now and been getting alarmingly strong kicks and pokes around what must be the top of my back passage. I've assumed that baby might be breach right now with feet right down there as the movements I feel higher up are less strong. Hopefully for us both little ones will flip over in the next weeks!

Mine's head down (34+3), therefore I get hiccups in my bum. Something for you to look forward to!

Mine did this! It really freaked me out. She's head down now (34 weeks) so has thankfully stopped that particular habit.

Thank you for putting me at ease! Splinters I'm a few days behind you, mine's also head down and I too get hiccups in my bottom. The first time it happened I was a bit freaked out, but now it just makes me giggle.

I also have an anterior placenta and also occasionally feel this. I assume folk feel that whether their placenta is anterior or not!

I had a growth scan last week at 28 weeks and the baby is now head down so I get it less often now, but definitely feel distinctive movements around there from time to time. Little blighter!

Thank you everyone! I assumed it was just where her feet were at that particular time because I haven't felt it before now. Am glad it's not just me. Wink

I'm 33 weeks and get the odd rear kick too, it's very odd, feels like a foot is going to appear out of my bum, lol, they aren't painful though and much nicer than when she boots my bladder Smile
