Am 9 weeks today and about 10 mins ago a stabbing stich like pain came on in my right ovary. It subsideswhen I sit down but is still painful.

I have had terrible morning sickness not sure if relevant.

Does this sound ectopic? Shall I go to a&e??

It may well be nothing, however for peace of mind you should go to A&E. Any pain especially one sided should be checked out. Good luck OP.

It'll probably be no more than gas, but do get it checked, have you had any bleeding?
I am pregnant at the moment 8 weeks and have pain on the right but it's due to a cyst, I went to EPU and saw bean and heartbeat on the scan so all ok. Have you got someone to go with you?

Go to A&E, this does need checking, sending a very unmumsnetty hug x

I had a scan at six weeks as I had a one sided pain for 2-3 days. GP was concerned ectopic risk and sent for the scan. Turned out to be wind and I was given advice on eating lots of fibre and veg, and drinking lots of water!

You should get it checked out, but it will probably be wind or something else trivial.

I'd go to a and e to make sure. I did get all sorts of nasty pains when I was pregnant though and all was well

Just to mention also there might be a special pregnancy a and e. my hospital has one. You could always ring and find out.

It is probably nothing, but you will just sit and worry in pain if you don't go.

Good luck.

Okay I went to the loo and feel very constipated. I've also been vomitting 2-3 times a day and not drinking much water mainly fizzy drinks because i'vebeen feeling so nauseous. Had terrible constipation when I gave birth and bf dd for about 3 months.

After i managed a poo (sorry tmi!) the pain has lessened a lot. It's still there but nowhere near as bad.

Does it sound like constipation do you think?

Thank you all for being supportive to a frightened pregnant lady!

You really should get checked out.

With my ectopic I had spotting and what felt like excruciating trapped wind. It does sound like you may just have an upset stomach/constipation but I would get checked out. Good luck.

I had this kind of pain at 9 weeks and it was constipation and wind Blush BUT my midwife said if in doubt don't fret just ring her. Could you call your MW or early pregnancy unit?
take care

I had bad ovary pain around 9 weeks and they found harmless but painful cyst on right ovary. It will go by itself in time. Always good to get yourself checked though to put your mind at rest.

Please go and get checked out. I had this pain at 9 weeks. I was seen very quickly at a and e despite it being very busy. It turned put to be implantation pain and DS was fine and well. Good luck x

Thank you all. So the pain has completely gone away so. Am assuming it was constipation as I've not been drinking a lot of water and throwing up alot. But I would like o get it checked out still.

I still have no midwives as they said 9 weeks seemed to early for a booking appointment, this seems strange to me as my last one was at 8 weeks.

Pleased the pain has gone but if you want to be checked, do you have an EPU (Early Pregnancy Unit) at your hospital? Our area have booking in appointments at 8 weeks so I don't think 9 is early AT ALL. Let us know how you get on. x
