Pregnancy

Bleeding and scared

I am 4 weeks pregnant and have light blood when I went to the toilet.

I rang the doctors who said it's not a guarantee of miscarriage but I did also get a severe cramp in the night.

It's obviously so early nobody knows yet but my sister says this can be normal. I am however petrified.

Has anyone else had this ?

I had a clot and cramping last Friday. Didn't POAS till Sunday and am now waiting for BetaHCg results. Ill hand hold with you.
My GP was lovely. Said it was probably pooled implantation blood and not to panic. Do you have any other symptoms? Are they still as strong as they were?

Hello catpuss

Apart from some sickness I have not really had any symptoms so just don't know have been reading on here about implantation bleeding so am just keeping my fingers crossed it's that.

This is my first pregnancy and I am only a few weeks pregnant. I am in Irlenad and have not even had a scan yet as last period was due 5th December.

I am more hopeful after reading previous threads on here,

Now I am just off to look up poas!

Fingers crossed for you. I had a very bad cramp in the night at about the same time (but admittedly no blood). Turned out it was implantation I think, am now 34+6 so hoping a similar outcome for you.

Pee on a stick! Grin
Ill hand hold with you. Although I have the full gamut of symptoms and feel dreadful, I really need the results of the BetaHCg to really feel safe!
I think that spotting/bleeding is actually quite common. Ive heard hundreds of stories about women who thought they were having sometimes quite heavy periods who were actually pregnant. A friend of a friend has just had a baby. She didnt find out she was pregnant until she was 36 weeks!!! Had been having periods the whole time! Shock

I'm here and holding your hand, sounds like implantation to me and early bleeding is very common. It is very scary but we are all here if you need to talk xxx

Thank you all so much. This is only my second post and it isn't a great start!

I have had no further bleeding (as going to the bathroom to check every 15minutes!) and it was so so lite.

I hope it it just implantation but will do another test at the weekend just to be sure.

I feel sick again since this morning and have never been so pleased to want to throw my guts up!

Thanks again ladies I am going to rest up today and think positive.

Well Im now firmly part of this thread with you if youll have me! I had some pinkness this morning. It totally freaked me out! Ive spent the last two hours rechecking, stressing and talking to my embryo! I had one more CB digital hidden away, so I have just POAS. ?It says 3+. Yesterday it said 2-3. Thats good right? Means my hormone levels are rising? I am in such a stew. Ive had quite bad nausea, metallic taste and sore boobs already, and everytime they ease off a bit I panic! Im off out now. Ive decided that theres nothing I can do but not think about it. Ive got my second blood test tomorrow, and if that comes back raised then maybe I'll be able to calm down a bit. Its more horrible because I havent told anyone yet other than my best friend, and she is busy, so I dont have anyone here to hold my hand! DP will absolutely freak, so im waiting until after the blood test to tell him. I had a lovely supportive thread going on in chat, but its petered out now. I dont want to bump it and look needy! Blush

Catpuss unfortunately only time will tell! I know it feels like some of the longest hours of my life!

I hope your DP freaks in a good way when you tell him!

I know! I've had 2 Dcs already, and I read EVERYTHING! not always a blessing I'm still feeling bloody awful! Like you I'm so grateful to still feel ill! Confused I do have a cervical erosion which often causes spotting. I'm just coruscating on that right now! Have you seen anymore?

No nothing since and am doing nothing today! Have horses so no riding or mucking out for me just indoor time!

I feel less panicked than I did when first saw the blood. Just have to live in hope now!

I'm not doing any of that! I've just got a bit of poo picking. Dd13 can flipping well do the rest! Im not eating well right now and am more than a little wobbly! I think we should start our own optimism based antenatal quiche!

DS is nearly 17, dd is nearly 14. I'm an old bird of 37 nowadays!

Eeeek how scary! I'm same age and preggers again. Had spotting around time period would have been, and again after sex. I think I'm about 7 or 8 weeks now, so I'm resting when possible and trying not to check undies every 5 minutes.
I'll hold hands with you. It's been 6 years since ds2 was born. A long time.

Bright red blood this morning after school run, and now mild cramping pains. Feeling a bit scared tbh, and hanging out on MN for reassurance.

Have called the GP surgery, and the midwife will ring around 1:30.

No not ok. Went to A&E on midwife's advice because bleeding and cramping got progressively worse. Very strangely, their urine preg tests came back negative so me an DH were quizzed over was I preg or not? I'm sure the triage nurse thought I was faking!
Anyway, they did a blood test, which was positive, so after 4 hours in emergency I was taken to the gynae ward. More blood tests, internal exam (horrible, lots of pulling). Gynae says she's almost 100% sure it's a miscarriage.

Now I'm at home, had a hot bath, lots of painkillers, bleeding isn't very heavy, only one pad every hour or so and not too many clots. Sorry if tmi.
Very confused and avoiding my own emotions ATM. DH had to go to London today and promises to be home early. BIL took kids to school. If I talk to anyone I'm just going to cry, so I'm avoiding people. Will have to go out later.

I have to back to gynae to have another HcG blood test exactly 48 hours after the first one, so 10pm Saturday night. If HcG levels drop, MC for sure and I know in my heart it is MC.
They wAnt me in every 48 hours till HcG levels fall to 20. Currently at 118. I can't go through this again. It's too painful.

Thank you for your hugs! DH has taken kids to football and is expecting me to go over as well, instead of " moping at home"

I know he means well but I'm feeling really drained fragile and not up to hanging about on a freezing sideline.
