Bit of an embarrassing post.

Oops- hit send before typed.

I have swelling and discomfort on my vagina. I'm 25wks pregnant and this is my 2nd.

It feels like there is a lot of pressure pushing down and one side is quite swollen and everything feels a bit 'open' if that makes sense.

Anyone have any clue what this could be? Does it sound serious?

I'm not too sure. I have felt very achy down there for at least 5 weeks now and am 26 weeks. It just feels heavy and hurts more the more I open my legs. Sex can be awkward/uncomfortable too.

I don't think there is any problem but if your actual vagina is swollen or red, perhaps call the midwife?

I had that with my 2nd. I put it down to everything just being weaker down there and the pressure from the baby pushing down upon it. I also had varicose veins down there too which didnt help but was all ok and it went away after baby was born

I was hoping there would be an answer on this. I'm 34 wks & really swollen on vagina with dd2. This never happened before. I've got really bad, violent cough as part of a cold at the moment & am worried I've coughed my insides out!!

Thanks to everyone for response, gave up expecting any!

I also had that horrible cold and am still coughing. Stomach really sore and causing loads of pressure down there.

GP said likely varicose vein and pressure. Am going to ask MW at next appt. Will post after, it's on 21st.
