Advice on when to start counting the kicks

Im 21+4 and over last few days have been feeling my baby kicking a lot.

I went to my best friend's wedding last night and did a lot of dancing, getting overheated and out of breath. I ha bad stomach pains last night - (felt like trapped wind so didn't panic) and barely slept so knackered today. I've not felt baby kick today and wondering if this is something I should be panicking about yet, or whether it's still early as the campaign reckons start counting at 28 weeks. Is it likely baby's just sleeping off late night?!

Don't know the official answer but I'm 23 weeks pg and some days I feel loads of movement and others much less. Have you tried some icy water and lying on your left hand side? I tried it the other day and it did work.

I think at this stage they still have lots of room and that's why movements can be so variable.

Thanks for reply. I've tried the icy water and there were a couple of small kicks, but not as strong as usual and not as many. I did think that maybe it was too early to have a regular routine - I think I'll see how get on tonight and tomorrow.

Don't worry. I'm nearly 26 weeks and some days are still very quiet. Christmas day was non stop movement from about midday until past 2am but then there have been days since where there's not been much since. MW said this is normal until there's less room to move about.
