My friend is 6 weeks pregnant and just got a UTI, she normally takes cranberry tablets, but isn't sure if she can now. She is drinking the juice.

Can she take cranberry tablets?
Is there anything she can do to prevent more UTI's?

She should really see her GP or phone the midwife

GP doesn't know and she hasn't had her booking in appt yet, so doesn't have a midwife to ask.

If she's got a UTI she needs to get antibiotics rather than taking cranberry pills.

Thanks, she's already got the antibiotics.

I'd just wait for them to do their job! I wouldn't take the cranberry tablets if no-one's sure!
