hi im 22 wks today and i keep feeling very wet in my knickers and like im dribbling a bit. am i just weeing myself with maybe baby number 3 sat on my bladder or could my waters be very slowly leaking. its playing on my mind as my coccyx is hurting and have been in agony with pain in my hips ( which i had the week leading up to the birth of my 2 children). i feel like the baby is so low down that if i had an internal they would be able to feel bulgng waters like they can in labour. i have had a few tightenings but nothing regular and they arent painfull. are these just normal symptoms with 3rd baby? i do have SPD so could it all just be that. I dont no if im just being dramatic and dubious about ringing the hospital as i know they will make me go in and i am terrifed. anyone else had similar experiences.

Don't be scared, but you should phone the hospital. V unlikely you're weeing.
Sure it'll all be fine but you should get checked sooner rather than later.

Is there someone else who can mind your other kids while you go?

I would definitely ring the hospital. Especially as it's your third - you are more likely to know what feels normal, and what feels unusual. They will also be able to give you advice over the phone about whether it's something you need to come in urgently for, or whether it can wait until tomorrow, or whether you can just stay at home etc.

If it's nothing I'm sure the hospital won't mind. If it's not, then you'll be very glad you rang.

Good luck.

This happened to me when I was about 22 weeks with my now 7 month old DD and it turned out I was just weeing, even though it didn't really feel like it. Certainly they could find no evidence that my waters were leaking when I went in to hospital, and I didn't have any subsequent problems. It stopped after a day or two anyway - must have been the baby's position or something.

The hospital were definitely happy for me to have gone in and got it checked out though, so I am sure that they will want to see you too.

Hope all goes well and that you and baby are both ok.

I had this for a week before the baby arrived. It was just a massive increase in discharge, not waters leaking or wee. It would soak several maternity towels a day Blush

"v unlikely you're weeing" - oops Blush I stand corrected after natty's post!

berri - actually I don't know for sure that I was weeing, just that my waters weren't leaking. That seemed the most likely explanation though! Everything was fine, in any case. Hopefully for the OP too.

Hi graciem, hope everything is ok.

I had something similar with DS2 at 6 months. The hospital did an internal, tested the level of fluid and said everything was fine, I was just leaking urine. I had DS2 4 weeks later and there was no amniotic fluid left!
I should have gone back 2 weeks after the internal as I knew something was wrong - every time I moved I "leaked", so much so that I ended up wearing Tena Lady's and going through 3 or 4 a day. A good indicator of leaking fluid is that amniotic fluid doesn't smell of wee (TMI I know Blush).

Just remembered.

My leaking started when DS2 moved position from lying across to head down. He possibly tore a hole when doing this.

Definitely phone the midwife OP.

Throughout all of my second pregnancy I kept leaking wee Blush due to wrecked pelvic floor from first birth.

All this leaking got worse (combined with loads more discharge towards the end - nice!) and it meant that actually I missed my actual waters leaking. I finally clicked when I noticed that the 'leaking wee' was meconium. I was induced as soon as I went into hospital to have it checked. Waters had been leaking for days.

I am sure yours is wee but best check!

So glad I've seen this post, I've been having the exact same thing! Feeling very damp " down there ". Also having lots of pressure, so again, was unsure if maybe I was just wetting myself slightly Blush
Have midwife tomorrow so will ask her to check it out, thank god I'm not alone!!
